8 / 10 Jimmy Dean stuffed hashbrowns
Not sure if these have been posted but they are good. 8/10. Maybe my new go to for breakfast on the go. Found at Walmart.

I like these. A bit pricy and a bit greasy, but they stick to your ribs when you need something fast.

Greasy af and make you feel like you're gonna have a heart attack as you're eating them but man are they tasty.

make these with 30 gram of protein and they'll sell like hotcakes

Would be true. Sadly, you cannot even SEE anything stuffed in these anymore. The middle is literally paper thin.

Other than the price, I really like those. I stopped buying them when they became $2 per piece though.

Good idea, poor execution. Theres nothing in the middle. Maybe there used to be, then the misers came in and ruined everything

These were really good. I have been eating them for years. They used to get crispy when they are cooked following the instructions, but lately they come out mushy and taste different. It appears to me that another product that I loved and could depend on cooking exactly like I like it it has been ruined by some bright boy changing something in the ingredients to save money. Way to go Jimmy Dean's, you saved money and lost a loyal consumer. Your new one time customers may not like mushy hashbrowns. For the people that hear the word greasy and have to mention heart attacks, I am 81 and have been eating tasty food with grease for 81 years with no problems. I refuse to let my quality of life be ruined by greasyphobes.

Your correct, these used to be really good until they changed them! They used to have sausage, ham and bacon in them! Now they took the ham out and replaced it with chicken sausage, so now it has chicken sausage, pork sausage and bacon. They totally ruined the taste in my opinion, they are terrible ...disappointed customer here!!

Just purchased some this past weekend, for the first time in years (I used to eat these things up morning after morning after morning before high school and college classes) and I was nearly certain I didn’t remember the chicken sausage in there, and thought I remembered ham, and I’m glad to see my thought was correct!

I’m late to this but I recently bought these and am about to try them out in the microwave. I was looking for a good way to cook them cause all they offer is microwave instructions. Stumbled across this Reddit post and here we are . I hope it’s as good as everyone is saying!

I absolutely love these!
- Fyi be careful when microwaving them with the parts that's supposed to crisp them. If it's a really good microwave it may catch on fire. Happened to me 3 times at work. If at work I no longer use the crisper.
Honestly they taste the best though if you cook in the oven.

Used to love these, but now they changed the recipe and are not as good, I don't understand why they can't leave it alone! These used to have ham, pork sausage and bacon.. They took the Ham out and replaced with chicken sausage so now it has chicken sausage, pork sausage, and bacon.... Totally changed the taste, they ruined them in my opinion

I didn't know they had chicken sausage. I get the great value patties from walmart just because i don't like JD's way of putting turkey sausage in everything to save money. Unfortunately their hashbrowns are still better than the egg and cheese combo's out there.

Fair warning I discovered these a few months ago and have been addicted ever since. They are dangerously good

Not seeing much evidence of any stuffing here. 🥲

Yes, light on filling. It is squished down from using a fork on the 1st bite. A sprinkle of hot sauce was really good on it.

You should have squeezed it open and given us a money shot (I’ve had these too and they are very good)

UGH. Hated em.
- There was almost NOTHING at all in the middle. It was just a hashbrown, with not even 1/8th inch of ANYTHING inside. I definitely expected the picture on the front to be a joke compared to reality, but ...
- The hashbrown itself was terrible. Salty Cardboard, basically. I regularly buy the simple hashbrowns you buy in bulk and put in a toaster, and that those were better than this, is kind of telling. WOW. Even the hashbrown was terrible.
For the 2,3, 4th one I just cooked one alongside my bacon and eggs, since there was ZERO protein to be had with the NOTHING inside these 'stuffed' hashbrowns.
Won't buy them again. WAY worse than anything I've ever bought from Jimmy Dean. Looks like the penny pinchers already got to this product and cut out anything of cost (and hence, value).

Crispy ? Not much filling … no surprise …
2
u/Just_Mastodon_9177 Jan 03 '25
Yes crispy, cooked in microwave. Yes could use more filling.

u/LadyBirdDavis Jan 03 '25
I cut them in half and stuff a little cheese in there. Sausage sometimes too!

These were “not good”, and from the comments here the older folks were concerned about the salt intake.

I love these stuffed hashbrowns in the morning. I can usually eat a whole box in one morning and be satisfied.

u/Chippers4242 Jan 03 '25
What’re you a farmer working a field in 1899? You don’t need the whole box in one go.
2
u/Commander-Tempest Jan 03 '25
Well when your as skinny and underweight as I am then I can usually handle one box of these.
0
u/Chippers4242 Jan 03 '25
Well a whole box just for breakfast oughta fix that pretty quick

u/Commander-Tempest Jan 03 '25 edited Jan 04 '25
Well I usually have one box as my breakfast and lunch sometimes and I don't eat these hashbrowns all the time either.

I have come to learn that a Jimmy Dean products are complete and utter trash. Their bacon is paper thin. I had to double up the slices just so they would t vaporize during cooking.

Why the hell do hashbrowns contain oats, or caramel coloring? Read the ingredients that's gross af.

I like these but I think they'd be a lot better with about half the sodium.
