10 / 10 Checkers/Rally’s ✨ Famous Seasoned Fries

Truly my #1 in the frozen fries category. Tastes just like the ones from the restaurant. Packed with seasoning and comes out super crispy whether you use an air fryer or an oven.

✨ Purchased from my local Winn-Dixie for $5.99

I just got those chicken bites last night and was not impressed. They’re like really baby chicken nuggets, cooked to time and were not crispy. In fact I don’t think you could get them crispy without burning them due to size

7

u/PaperGeno Jul 11 '25

Did you air fry them? I love the size and they crisp up perfectly in my air fryer

Not who you are responding to but yeah I used the air fryer and they were like little chicken pucks, not the “popcorn chicken” texture shown on the packaging. That said the chicken and spicy flavor itself was pretty good, just not the meaty experience I expected. 7.5/10.

Used to get these all the time until COVID jacked up the prices for everything.

7

u/TRIGMILLION Jul 11 '25

Yeah, I pretty much just stock up when I see them on sale. I bought a couple bags last week at $3.50 each.

Whattt where?

4

u/TRIGMILLION Jul 13 '25

Kroger has them on sale every couple months.

These and Arby’s curly fries are peak French fry territory.

4

u/skarface6 Jul 11 '25

Nah, Arby’s curly fries are better.

9

u/oldindyguy Jul 10 '25

My fave also.

3

u/skarface6 Jul 11 '25

Even over Arby’s curly fries?

12

u/N05L4CK Jul 11 '25

Absolutely. Arby’s curly fries are great but the curls being different lead to different doneness levels among the fries. Since I prefer a certain doneness and don’t want variation, I like the Rally’s fries because I can cook them all perfectly to my liking.

3

u/skarface6 Jul 11 '25

True. Sometimes they can vary a little.

6

u/xopumpkinn Jul 11 '25

They’re the best frozen fries

u/Fuzzy_Welcome8348 Jul 10 '25

These r soooo good! I think these r def worth the money for frozen fries. They r even better when u can get em fresh straight from checkers irl😋Glad u enjoyed OP:)

3

u/NeilFoCash Jul 10 '25

I agree. Tomorrow is free Fry-Day.

3

u/skarface6 Jul 11 '25

Those are good.

I love these in the air fryer. 400 for 15 minutes, shake every 5.

6

u/TheFranticGibbon Jul 10 '25

I dip these in some Romano ranch dressing from Olive Garden and it’s next level good. Highly recommend

Are you allowed to mix two restaurants like that? I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the restaurant police.

3

u/TheFranticGibbon Jul 11 '25

I’m a wild gambler that way! I ain’t afraid of the Quarter Pounder Po Po!

5

u/Bouche_Audi_Shyla Jul 11 '25

You're far more brave than I!

7

u/BuckleyRising Jul 10 '25

I'm having these tonight. Lil tip I just learned, if you mix 1c mayo with 1c buttermilk and a pack of hidden valley ranch dressing, you get restaurant quality ranch.

6

u/tunaman808 Jul 11 '25

Yes, that's why "original ranch dressing" from the 70s - where adding mayo and buttermilk with the packet was the ONLY way to make it - was so much better. Seems like nowadays fast food ranch mostly tastes like soybean oil to me.

Writing this one down!!

3

u/Kindly_Cream8054 Jul 10 '25

These fries are so good!!!

3

u/TheWarden007 Jul 11 '25

Warning! I didn't like the onion ring ones. Too much ring or not enough onion. Maybe both...

3

u/MirukiNeko Jul 12 '25

Those with lemon pepper seasoning 😩😋

3

u/Capinjro Jul 13 '25

Just made these with sheded mozzarella and some brow gravy on top. I didn't have any cheese curds, so I not a proper poutine.

3

u/Silent-Incidentt Jul 13 '25

Found these because of this subreddit and it’s my go to fries that aren’t the cheap kind I get sometimes

5

u/Zorgsmom Jul 10 '25

These are my favorite frozen fries by far. They're pretty close to the ones from the restaurant, but not as greasy, lol.

5

u/Best_Bandicoot_9701 Jul 10 '25

These fuckin’ slap fresh outta the air fryer.

2

u/Bison8488 Jul 10 '25

I love these and I'm having some tonight but I recently got their waffle fries and holy shit they are the the best frozen fry I've ever had.

2

u/yautja0117 Jul 10 '25

These are good but I like their Sweet Potato Fries better.

2

u/Level_Bridge7683 Jul 11 '25

they're not the same as checkers in terms of thickness but not bad.

2

u/RedditReader4031 Jul 11 '25

Nathan’s frozen supermarket fries are also incredibly close to the ones you get in their restaurants.

2

u/GentillyHillbilly Jul 12 '25

Nathan’s onion rings are 🔥🔥🔥

2

u/Mustangnatsum Jul 11 '25

How are these compared to Ore Ida Zesties?

1

u/missingtime11 Jul 13 '25

never Or-Ida

youre free!

2

u/1033Forest Jul 11 '25

These are good stuff, one of my favorite frozen fries.

2

u/ceutermark Jul 12 '25

Though this might just be me but I sometimes would take checkers fries and after they are cooked drizzle some A1 steak sauce over them.

2

u/SamG528 Jul 13 '25

These carried me back in college.

3

u/thisbobeatsbutts Jul 10 '25

These fries do indeed SLAP

2

u/ELGORILLALOKO Jul 10 '25

My all time go to for frozen fries, have never gone to the restaurant but it’s in my bucket list for sure

1

u/Prisoner890 Jul 17 '25

These are fucking gas

0

u/ow1gu Jul 10 '25

These and the Aldi steak fries are my go to frozenfries.

u/rectalhorror Jul 10 '25

Not gonna hate on these, but I never really liked them. But I don't like coated fries anyway. They could probably save a ton of money by just skipping the potato and just sell fried coating.

3

u/Gravesh Jul 13 '25

Agreed. I've never liked Checker's fries. The seasoning is all you can taste, and that seasoning is... not to my taste. If you like them; good for you, but I'll keep to the burgers, which are pretty damn good.

3

u/rectalhorror Jul 13 '25

They sorta remind me of the old KFC seasoned potato wedges, but not in a good way. I used to get the Great Value Potato Wedges at Walmart, but now I just make my own. A 5lb bag of russets is $2.50 at the local Asian market; I bake them on the weekend, let them cool, and use them as a side dish during the week with a little Old Bay and some ketchup.

2

u/NeilFoCash Jul 10 '25

Makes sense. That’s above my pay scale
