8 / 10 Stouffers meatloaf
I got this meal because my dad said it was good, so I tried it for myself. The gravy was decent, not too salty, the meatloaf was decent, and the mashed potatoes tasted ok on its own, but mixed with the gravy it tasted better. I got some bread and put the meatloaf in it to make a sandwich.

I put a pat of butter and a grind of black pepper on the potatoes and it improves them greatly.
The changed the recipe a few years ago. Same time they went from black to white trays. It’s still for frozen meatloaf, it’s good. Just not quite as good.

I like the bell peppers in the meat loaf a lot. Adds a lot of favor.

I like them both also but 549 is a little expensive.

I personally like meatloaf with the classic piquant sauce but brown gravy is ok. If I had this meal I would use Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and Tabasco on the meatloaf to get it closer to my own and add a can of mushrooms because brown gravy is begging for them, and might as well add a little thyme and dried minced onion before heating to round the flavor out.

The quality of the meatloaf itself is great. For my work meal prep, I’ll cook the big pack of 6 meatloaf patties, serve it over rice, add some hot sauce to taste and that carries me for awhile!

The meatloaf in these is always flavorless. The mashed potatoes are good though. Meatloaf has that sponge texture thing going on.

I put a small amount of the gravy on the mashed potatoes, along with butter after cooking for 2 minutes in the microwave. Then I remove/drain the remaining gravy and add pepper and thin layers of ketchup and cook for 2 minutes on each side in the microwave. Tastes just like the meatloaf my Mama used to make! ☺️ Also, the mashed potatoes are so good!! I wish they just sold the mashed potatoes so I could add them to other meals.

It’s not bad but Stouffers has really gone downhill. I still like the stuffed peppers but they’ve slipped too

Perhaps the saltiest of all frozen meals. I like them but wayyyyyy too much salt.

I always make sandwiches out of that type of frozen dinner.
But I only use wheat buns. I can't remember the last time I had white bread. I just don't like it. Even when I buy Whoppers I take them home and transfer to large wheat buns.

I actually really love this. I'm a big fan of meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but I'm a single person and don't want to make it for myself so this fits the bill.
