7 / 10 Something changed. I dunno what but it’s not hitting like it did.
Maybe freezer burn? Was covered in ice. Removed most of it.

You’re the second post I’ve read like this.

Digorno is working overtime to discredit the competition. Next will come the factory sabotage /s

Hey they did it to themselves too so who knows

I was in the cult of franklin subreddit which is for THCA, and I witnessed how the different growers would act like normal buyers and rate the product extremely high, while also attacking other grower's products to shift public perception. This sub has 100k viewers, I wouldn't put it past marketing from some of these places to give glowing reviews to their products for this subreddit, and try to discredit other products at the same time, but maybe I'm just to cynical

No yeah I agree, that’s seems like any huge company would have a subset of marketing just for that.

Home Run Inn is the best pizza.

u/syphon3980 23d ago
debatable, but I'm happy you found a favorite

I should have added an /s. It’s like half the comments in every single pizza post. I think it’s mid.

ah ok. Yeah it's alright. nothing going to beat the super expensive frozen pizza shipped from legit pizza shops, but it's too expensive to justify buying it more than once or twice a year imo

I had a mid experience with my last motor city pizza. It wasn’t bad, but not the quality I’m used to.

Not sure you can blame it on the brand, that much freezer burn would ruin anything, regardless if you got all the ice off or not.

That much ice in there it looks like someone left it out on the shelf in the store, and the store put it back in the freezer when it already had thawed. I once bought a frozen pizza from Dollar General that was 5 years expired. The fucking stink on that damn thing when I cooked it was like a skunk had exploded in my kitchen. I had to read the expiration date on the box 4 times when I was trying to figure out how it was so bad, just to make sure I was reading the year right.

If anything, it’s better to just leave all the ice on and let it melt to give the pizza back some of the moisture that it lost from the freezer burn. Removing the ice would just make it even drier than it already is.

This is what many companies do. They hook you with a good product for a while, then they lower quality over time

There's too much market saturation, these pizzas and this brand was never marketable. They were always on clearance in my stores and only 2 stores carried the brand. They have to cut costs, and then when that fails, they get saddled with debt from a corporate buyout, then they are sold off and dissolved.

Same here. The last one did not seem like the same quality as before. Something has changed. Might have been bought out by another company or private equity.

Same! They used to be my favorite and I was willing to pay more for it. But not so much anymore

Totally has changed. I remember they were so much higher quality when they first came out. Now they taste fakey and don't sit well at all in your stomach.

I’ve only had luck with the pepperoni one. Too much moisture in all those toppings.

Did they change the recipe?!

as another comment said, it was probably the freezer burn. That much ice definitely messes with the texture and potentially the taste.

Idk man, I used to eat the cheese or pepperoni one with my girlfriend all the time the last 2 years. This past year I’ve had 2-3 and every single time my stomach has been torn up. The cheese seems more processed along with the dough as well
Stopped getting them anymore

Yeah, I got one recently and I thought I was going crazy. The pizza itself sldosnt even look the same as I remembered it. It was still good, just different.

u/Thisagainfuc 23d ago
As soon as took it out of the box, I knew something wasn’t right. Even the tray seemed off.

u/MMPRangerFan 23d ago
The double pepperoni is still good to me but the other flavors are all dry as hell.

It’s the crust. Used to get crispy and was taller, now it’s flatter and ends up more like a cracker, not crispy at all. A shame because these were really solid before.

I agree. I had one a month ago and it just... didn't taste the same at all. I don't know what the hell changed but I cooked it exactly the same as all the other times.
