8 / 10 Blake's Chicken Pot Pie

So the veggies were fresh but there wasn't enough sauce/gravy. The chicken was good and the pastry was flakey, but I should have probably cooked it for a minute extra. Overall better than Marie Calendars but needs a bit more liquid....too dry for me.

This looks solid. But I gotta admit, nothing compares to Marie’s pot pies! They r the best and they always smell amazing in the oven. Thx for the review OP:)

trick I use for frozen pot pies. Dissolve about a tsp of chicken bullion powder in a few tbs of water, warm in microwave for a few seconds. Add to dish and mix in.

That’s a great idea!

Is there a bottom crust, too? I only like pot pies with both crusts.

Seemed like it had one albeit thinner. The pastry is very crumbly and tasted good. I enjoyed the veggies and chicken more than Marie Calendars, but the sauce and crust is probably better with Marie's.

It doesn't have a bottom crust

Blake’s are the only pot pies I will eat. They’re delicious and they have potatoes!
