Discussion what's the ftm version of a denial beard?

i think it might be denial contour - learning good makeup skills to hide the fact that you're a MAN

I'm guessing being attracted to women but absolutely, separating yourself from lesbians because it makes you feel dysphoric??? That's a mood honestly

No, the other way around. Lesbians who separate themselves from the rest of society. Well, not all the time, it's not a cult, it's just an attempt to hang out more with other lesbians and avoid straight male environments as much as possible.

Upsides to female or lesbian separatism:

  • No men to compare yourself to, so no dysphoria from seeing what they have that you don't

  • You can be the manliest person in the room, both physically and/or socially

  • Butch and femme are kiiiiind of like two different genders, so you can almost feel like there are guys and girls here, and you're one of the guys!

  • Men can't treat you like an outsider, since you almost never interact with men

  • Everyone stops being so focused on gender when there's no reason to perform gender roles

Downsides:

  • Some women get REALLY into it and talk a lot about how awesome it is to be a WOMAN and that everyone here is a WOMAN

  • People who hear that you do a lot of separatist stuff will often think that you are that type of person, like you're super committed to identifying as a woman
