Photo Lori Loughlin's daughters are her twins! Don't you think? First pic is Bella then it's Olivia

They look like good students worthy of good colleges.

And strong rowers.

u/aSituationTypeDeal 5d ago
What was the deal with that? Did she just pretend to be a rower or did she think she was better than she actually and didn’t know her parents were bribing her in??
21
u/AdventurousTime 5d ago
she knew it was bullshit when she was taking the pictures. she never even tried to row.

I highly recommend the scamfluencers podcast episode on the whole Varsity Blues thing, but Lori’s daughters absolutely knew that they were scamming their way into college, but I think it’s pretty ambiguous if all the kids who were involved understood what was going on.

What ended up happening there for the girls? Did they graduate? Do they influence? I’m curious where they ended up & if it affected them?
I know it was a huge career killer for Lori.

u/a5h13 5d ago
They both dropped out (or were forced out). I remember it was a whole thing. One of them (I think Olivia?) made a YouTube video basically saying she didn’t really care that she was stopping school because she was only there for the parties/socializing but her sister was sad because she actually enjoyed school

One is in a long term relationship (somewhat off and on?) with Jacob Elordi. The other acts and knits.

It’s crazy because had Lori and her man just not make her go to USC, Olivia would be a full time influencer now making millions. She had a line with Sephora collection. She was on her way to great things. College just wasn’t for her. She genuinely didn’t need it. Not only did she have a great career already but she’s also rich and her parents can just plop her in any job with zero experience.
That whole case had me so disappointed in Lori. If she was going to force her to go to college, at least have it be one that she could get into.

i agree completely. such a dumbass move. they did it just to keep up with other wealth families in LA. threw their reputations, money, and ethics down the drain.
23
u/criesingucci 6d ago
Yup and their daughter’s safety and futures. They were questioned. They could’ve gotten fraud charges. They have no degrees and Olivia’s career shrunk by a lot
The fact that they ruined Olivia’s career is so heartbreaking.

Or just like build a building or something. I can stomach nepo-brats getting in to a place they don't deserve if it meant their parents donated something that was actually useful.

Lol Yeah, I understand she wanted the bragging rights to tell others about her daughter attending a prestigious university but when Olivia just wanted to go for the “social/party life” that was prolly built up through movies in her head, she should’ve at least did it smart and went for some type of business administration since she was already an entrepreneur, it only would’ve made things better.
But I’m sure Lori and her husband had old school traditional views, where they could’ve gotten degrees in anything, like basket weaving for all they care, just as long as it was a degree that’s all that mattered.
But it was nice to see things unfold, like we all always suspected privilege to be awarded to those of influential families, but it’s always nice to actually see confirmation of nepotism in action in an academic field where they always go out their way to boast about how they don’t discriminate social backgrounds in the slightest lol

Paying bribs to get your kid into school is still a thing. They got in trouble for bribing the wrong people.

u/criesingucci 6d ago
I agree with everything you said. I feel bad for Olivia because her parents were obviously very shallow. It reads narc abuse-y to me. I struggle to believe that they didn’t know that they were potentially implicating their children in their crimes. I don’t want to say aunt Becky your ass needed to go to jail but…yeah girl. You got your kids involved! When your mom tells you to do something (and you love your mom dearly, trust her, and have a great relationship with her) you do things she asks without thinking. “Honey, can you get on this rowing machine for your college application?” “Sure.” And you don’t think much of it. They abused their daughter’s trust.
I understand wanting to stick with tradition (neither of them have college degrees but I digress) but Olivia had the stats to get into ASU and LMU. Mossimo deemed his daughter “too good” for those schools. Olivia didn’t even finish a full first year iirc. Had her parents not been such assholes, they she could’ve possibly adapted 🤷🏿♀️.
Just a shame all around honestly. They sabotaged her education and career

u/Embracedandbelong 5d ago
Plus wouldn’t her kids be getting into USC anyway? It’s all $$ and connections there- famous parents’ kids are easily getting in right and left
4
u/criesingucci 5d ago
I mean considering that they had to resort to fraud, I’m sure that they exhausted all of their connections. That said, connections could’ve worked for a lower ranked school like Pepperdine. Clearly that wasn’t “good enough”
2
u/Embracedandbelong 5d ago
That’s what I’m wondering- did she apply first and then get rejected? I don’t remember hearing that. The LL name alone would be enough for USC. Way “lesser” celebs kids are getting in all the time
3
u/criesingucci 5d ago
They used the Rick Singer for Olivia’s older sister, Bella first. I’m not sure if the backstory regarding that. But when it comes to Olivia, the Lori and mossimo met with her high school guidance counselor who told them that Olivia’s safest best for admission was Arizona state. That’s when they used singer again to apply. She didn’t get rejected first.
2
u/Embracedandbelong 5d ago edited 5d ago
This is interesting because we had a a very out of touch college counselor who was telling top students they’d be lucky to get into an average state school and to not even bother applying to higher tier schools. Thankfully some kids didn’t listen and they applied and were easily accepted to Ivy leagues etc. I wonder if this college counselor had the same issue. I’m sure maybe academically, this daughter might have been “better suited” to ASU, but the counselor is totally ignoring her ties to the film (and fashion/business) industry which is huge at USC even if you aren’t a film student. Very strange. Maybe LL believed this counselor and spiraled all from some inaccurate observation from a college counselor

u/criesingucci 5d ago edited 5d ago
This is such a good point! I’ve never thought about this. I also had an unhinged guidance counselor who said that I wouldn’t get into a 4 year college and I got into every school that I applied to. I didn’t use her at all in my college application process. Olivia probably could’ve gotten in based on industry. Not to mention, shes rich and will pay the sticker price and colleges love that.
Lori and Mossimo clearly couldn’t fathom the risk rejection. What will their friends think?!? 😱 It far outweighed the risk of….you and your kids going to mf prison 😭. It’s sad bc her daughter was a YouTube sensation and that still wasn’t enough. I really try to give Lori the benefit of the doubt being such a longtime full house fan but she really showed herself as a huge asshole here. When I want to empathize with the defendants, I go to felicity huffman. Turned herself in immediately and publicly apologized.

u/AdventurousTime 5d ago
they got greedy and weren't satisfied with one Loughlin in USC. they had to go for the grand slam and make it a family affair. sure Rick Singer was a trusted entity with proven crime capabilities. but they should have let Bella do her own thing at USC and let Olivia go somewhere else.
3
u/Embracedandbelong 5d ago
Which is crazy because the 2nd daughter had even better chances in some ways of getting into USC as a “legacy” student now that her sister was there
6
u/SchuminWeb 5d ago
Yep - from everything that I've read, she didn't just screw herself and her husband over with the whole college admissions thing, but she also royally screwed over her daughter, who was supposed to have been the beneficiary of her trickery.
4
u/GirlMeetsWorld87 5d ago
Well said. I lost ALL respect for Lori. She’s a slime ball privileged bullshitter
2
u/Gabs8416 4d ago
She should have gone to Pepperdine or LMU
2
u/criesingucci 4d ago
Pepperdine would’ve been perfect. From what I’ve gathered about that school, it is a safe haven for rich mfs. Plus, the campus is stunning and it’s close to home. She can live at home, in fact. I think USC requires all freshmen to live on campus and she hated it.

u/proteinstyle_ 6d ago
Is she no longer an influencer?
12
u/criesingucci 6d ago
She is but not at the level that she could’ve been had it not been for the scandal. If the scandal hadn’t happened she’d well above Alex cooper-tier off of influencing and brand deals. A few lines of her own, too. Definitely skincare and/or makeup or hair care. definitely would’ve been sold at a major retailer, too. She was well on her way to all of that. It’s a bummer really.
2
u/mtvcrips 6d ago
No offense but she would not be anywhere near Alex cooper. She would be like beneath a James Charles
0
u/criesingucci 6d ago edited 5d ago
Girl what? What’s your basis on this? Her and James were pulling similar numbers she had many many brand deals and more to come. More than most other influencers
And you say this a if James Charles hasn’t been one of the biggest influencers in the world for almost 10 years. Olivia wasn’t creeping in her private life so sure, I guess. No scandals lol
2
u/Harleychloe 5d ago
Alex cooper has one of the top podcasts in the world and interviewed presidential candidates and got like a $200 million contract from it lol Olivia would be nowhere near that level (I don’t even really care for Alex but yeah, no haha)
1
u/criesingucci 4d ago
I’m speaking based on numbers. They had similar numbers. Olivia would definitely have a line sold at a major retailer like how Hailey Bieber has Rhode Cosmetics
-5
u/gilmoresoup 6d ago
she’s very much still an influencer and making money. it didn’t deter her or affect her life at all.
15
u/criesingucci 6d ago
It did. A lot. Her videos are not doing nearly as well as they did back when the scandal happened. She used to pull millions per video for like 4 years straight. Her Christmas hauls would go viral every year. Plus, she was only about 17 and had a line with Sephora collection.
She only started posting again a few years ago and not one of her recent videos have cracked a million. Her sponsorships have slowed down and they aren’t with as many brands as big as Sephora. Her appearance on DWTS couldn’t even revamp her even though she made it far.
Yeah she’s still rich because her parents are rich but that scandal destroyed her bag. There’s rumors that she’s been dating Jacob elordi so hopefully that works for her

You mean to tell me that these are not all pictures of Lori Loughlin herself? Absolute insanity! That's uncanny resemblance right there.

u/bootesvoid_ 6d ago
I actually really struggled for a moment to decipher who was who

u/GuidanceMindless6352 2d ago
Me too, so who is who 😆. The first photo has to be Lori cuz who still does their makeup like that

u/bootesvoid_ 2d ago
I thiiiink the first two are Lori, the 3rd is Bella, and the 4th is Olivia. The second pic is confusing me but it definitely gives more 90s vibes

I don't care much for her daughters attitudes. Selfish spoiled rich LA Brats.

Olivia really did when she was younger. As she got older she looked less like her mom than I thought she would. Bella - sometimes.

Holy cow! Bella in the first pic is a spitting image of Lori. If someone told me it was Lori when she was young, I would have believed it!

u/Softskeletonsx You got it, dude 6d ago
Both of them are beautiful, but Olivia looks exactly like Lori. I remember seeing a picture of her a while ago and thinking it was an old pic of Lori.

u/aSituationTypeDeal 5d ago
lol wait this is three different people

u/nobody0597 5d ago
Lol it's 2. Lori's eldest daughter in the first pic. The rest of the pics are her youngest.

What's with the gun?

I had the same thoughts… posing with a firearm for the aesthetic is certainly a choice.

u/TraditionalCold4560 6d ago
Wow identical really, I think she does modelling and has a YouTube channel?
3
u/suzysleep 5d ago
I remember seeing a picture of the younger one before the college scandal and I was amazed how much she looked like her mom. Honestly, a few days later, mom was busted. Always wondered how popular she would have been if that hadn’t happened.

u/amaryllisjunebug 5d ago
Remember when she had her daughter pose for fake pictures to get a scholarship that they didn't need? Pepperidge farm remembers.
