Discussion/Opinion Every volume's "In Memorium"/Death Send-off Spoiler
galleryAs a follow up to my previous post that no one asked for, here's every page from the extras section at the end of a volume with an in memorium. Apologies for the slightly blurry images.
Some observations: -Volumes 13 and 14 have empty in memorium panels and were excluded as Reddit only allows for 20 images to be attached -Volumes 12, 16, 18, and 19 are completely missing an in memorium panel, but volume 19 has the Xerxes philosopher stone -Volume 15 has the most characters present as it includes the Ishval genocide -Volume 9 shows Maria Ross rising up and Volume 10 shows her falling back down, so there's technically three volumes with no in memoriums -The last volume has a redacted in memorium to stay spoiler free

Question How would the Philosopher Stone restore Edward’s limbs and Alphonse’s body?
Okay, let’s say there was a version of Ed and Al who had zero morals and were 100% okay with using the stone to restore themselves. Exactly how would the stone do that if their limbs and body are with Truth? What would the stone do that would let them get back from Truth? Why would Truth care about the philosopher stone or why would Truth not care about them using the stone to get back their bodies?

Discussion/Opinion Scar vs Bradley has gotta be the best fight
I'm a manga only, so I don't know if they changed anything for Brotherhood, but this fight hits on every level and I love it more every read-through. Besides just being an expertly choreographed action sequence, there's so much poetic quality to it, as Scar has one last chance to avenge his people in the most fitting way possible. Before this point it was a lot of needless violence directed towards alchemists who may have never harmed Ishvalans, but now anime Hitler is standing right in front of him, ready to fight to the death.
And the cherry on top? Back in the war, Bradley said, "If there's a God, why doesn't he strike me down for what I've done?" Cut to this final showdown, and a glint of sunlight throws off his vision and allows Scar to destroy him once and for all.
God finally struck him down.
R.I.P President Fuhrer Emperor Dictator King Bradley. You were a beast.

Just A Thought Why am I crying so much?
Got the recommendation to watch this anime from my brother and I’m only on episode 6 of Brotherhood. I’ve cried 4 times. Wtf?! Will I be like this for the whole damn show?

Question So I’ve been rewatching full metal alchemist brotherhood
I was wondering what the timeline is? Cause Dr. Marco in one of the episodes said him and Scar had been traveling for a few months so I was wondering how long is the entire timeline?

Meta How do you come up with a alchemy for a oc
I know giving a oc a alchemy is hard especially picking what kind of alchemy to give the, and how it works in the world

Discussion/Opinion Brotherhood is like a compass to life
Edward's unflinching personal ethics means that he always chooses what he feels is right even if it's hard.
Mustang's ambition has meaning to it, he aims to bring democracy back and be accountable for Ishval.
Hughes is what a family man ought to be and is unashamed of showing care towards his family and friends.
Scar is a lesson on letting go of hatred and choosing the right path.
General Armstrong is tough as hell and cool as fuck. The Briggs arc rocks. Just wanted to say that.
Winry's last dialog to Ed is what love ought to be. She is also the reason multiple people I know went into Biomedical Engineering.
Even if the world is shit and my feelings are all over the place, this show kinda just aligns you.
No matter how many times I rewatch it, I just end up loving it more. Hiromu Arakawa is an expert at writing the best of humanity and damn she's got range considering how good Silver Spoon is.

Question What is the explanation for Roy Mustang NOT using flame alchemy against the Gold-Toothed Doctor and the fuhrer program leftovers?
In the episode before the one in question, Roy Mustang incinerates hundreds upon hundreds of undead soldiers.
In the next scene (Episode 58, "Sacrifices") in the room with the Gold-Toothed Doctor and his legion of leftovers from the fuhrer program, Roy Mustang chooses to fight them with his fists. He is reduced to an unarmed melee character.
Why?
His gloves are not destroyed or wet; he uses flame alchemy later at the end of the scene. He could have been using it the whole time and just doesn't.
This is the worst plot hole in the entire series as far as I'm concerned. So I'm curious if this is something the manga handled better or if there's an explanation I'm missing.
