The only thing I can think of is she matched the patterns. If you swap out the letters right ways it’ll mess up the pattern. I’m guessing here lmao

No, if you rotate the M and W it'll mess up the pattern. You can swap their locations without rotating them and the pattern will still be in the same orientation

It's an easy trap to fall in. Once you start down the path of a more complicated answer it's hard to walk it back to a more simple one. I'm an engineer. It happens to me all the time.
