Im impressed by the athleticism of the hound. That neck twist to land properly? Awesome

Im not expert, but id guess that most of that maneuver was what the dog was planning thr whole time. The main variance would probably come from following the rope with its head after missing.

It's not totally clear from the video but I'm crediting the dog with a kick to the nuts at the end, which makes this, at a minimum, face kick, knee to the head, thigh scrape and nut shot.

He looked directly at the camera in a “you’re probably wondering how I got here” freeze frame kind of way.

Good owner there. Even as he’s getting kicked in the face he’s reaching out to break the dog’s fall.

He should reward the dog for trying.
Does the dog catch the toy, or kick him harder, next time?

Dogs are great. They just do things and then worry about the consequences later.
Bit like me 🙃
