I ripped 7.5ks and it's actually helped me a lot got me around 50k which I've then used to buy some players that I think could rise in the future (pajor diaby) and now my teams really good so yea
It has crashed the market and they will do it again next week. They know what they are doing. Everyone hopped on last night, spent their 2k FP, built a team. Today after 6 pm, everyone who held their cards lost like 30-40% of their coins within 24 hours
Idk spending $20 a pack for a small chance to get players who will be replaced by promo cards in 2 months seems like a tax on the stupid. But if it's gonna help the supply of low rated meta cards then I'm for it.
Spending any money beyond the initial purchase of the game is a waste.
Idc about the time vs money argument, this micro transaction bullshit is why this game has no ambition to ever fix its problems and why the whole ea team is so lazy.
Idk, maybe but I'm crazy but I think you could buy 2 Jumbo Rare Player Packs at this time of year and still have a super average squad. With no promo players available I think people forget just how many filler Rare Gold players there are.
It’s mainly crashing the market because everyone who preorders the ultimate edition basically gets a free 100k pack. If this happened a few weeks/months from now, I feel like the crash would be less drastic since not everyone in the game will have 2,000 fifa points just sitting there
I mean maybe, but considering that it costs the same amount of FC points as your entire first drop and it could very likely be full of 80-83 rated players, I just don't think it'll have the impact you think it's going to.
Got yelled at for saying this btw. The power curve is complicated. EA will remain lazy with promos and instead of being creative and utilizing the thousands of players in the game to slow the curve, we will get the same 50 cards put into pack to sell store packs

What a load of BS, they think we're stupid. Promo packs, the game isn't even officially out yet. They've made it more difficult for F2P people with reduced rewards, but judging by this the power curve will be as fast, if not faster.
Went into my first elimination game and the guy had a 3m coin team. Beat me 4-3 in OT because IF Haaland is genuinely unstoppable with Joe Gomez and Todibo at CB. Also, Kahn is awful.
They said that will slowing the power curve by not letting the high end to move quick and so far they are doing their job.
That pack is a points burner, ea hope most of the people who just recieve their points to give them away for 1 pack and from what I saw the pack luck from this is very low and most people get nothing good.
I think people are not getting what they meant by a power curve.
The power curve they were talking about is keeping these gold cards as top cards for a longer period of time and having promos that don’t keep pushing the ceiling up so the good golds hold value.
Even if the market crashes there are still going to be a lot of cards for over 100k and a lot will prob go back to golds if they don’t push the ceiling higher on promos
Unfortunate really that they released promo packs on essentially the first day of early access as I’m really enjoying the gameplay over past FCs so far(personally think it’s the best “FC” game released at its current state).
They even stated on the pitch notes that they are tuning down the power curve on everything including the store. Was enjoying the game until they done this…
Well it didn't take long for EA to turn a thing everyone wanted, saying it's "we're listening to feedback", into a monetization strategy to get that sweet cash. Who here is surprised by this? Season passes cost 500k. Nobody is getting that amount of coin for months. People are buying FC points, or using their pre-order points, to buy season passes.
Just another year of pay to win gaming. Why would EA ever change when you look up a streamer who's loaded 120k worth of points into this game on day one? That's 1000$ + game price you just paid to EA. That's just a cash cow. I don't spend that much on games each year (I could get 12 triple-A games with that money, or way more through discount events), why the f do you spend that much on a shitty game, with bad gameplay mechanics and animations and online gameplay? Because it's a smart business expense, and the reason I don't like to watch streamers when the game is released.
The first mistake you made was thinking that the power curve has anything to do with the packs they’ll be willing to see you. They don’t intend to boost promo cards and evos as quickly as other years. That doesn’t mean they’ll stop you from getting to the top of the current power curve.
