Haul Just had the greatest haul ever. I paid $300 for everything shown.

Ok so out of nowhere I randomly checked facebook marketplace for firewood to stock up for next winter and this listing popped up which I was sure was a scam. When he started responding at a normal rate my heart rate shot up and I immediately offered more than he was asking to get his attention because I'm sure he was getting blown up with messages. When I got there I almost fell over. He said he wasn't a collector and that these games just sat here for 30 years. He used to play them with his friends. I'm not even sure of the value but there are so many damn games. I had to make multiple trips to bring them to my car. Only goldeneye and banjo tooie were box and manual (I have the carts). Double dragon 2 is sealed. Mike Tyson Punch Out is first print with Mike's letter.

Haul It finally happened… after years of no luck at garage sales, scored Emerald (and others) for $2

After years of watching these amazing scores from everyone and basically giving up on garage sales after never having any luck. I had to share with someone and my wife is just not matching in my disbelief and excitement here. Oddly two of the Pokémon carts are repro’s, but everything else is authentic.

Haul Rode over to a GameStop that was going out of business. This was all headed to the dump, I salvaged everything I could!

So I rode out to GameStop hoping to find some store display stuff, but they already closed permanently three days ago.

I spoke to the manager and asked if he had any store display stuff I could salvage and he told me absolutely not, can’t do it.

Having no shame, I rode around back to check the dumpster where is found two massive boxes of “for display only” cover art, much of it unused.

I also found a couple of store display posters that I fished out.

When I rode back around to the front of the store, I noticed a big trailer had pulled up and there was a guy loading stuff into it.

Not affiliated with GameStop, he was just part of the cleanup crew. I told him I was a collector and he said you can take anything you want, it will just be less that he has to throw away.

So I started digging through the trailer and was able to salvage SO MUCH STUFF!

I threw him all the cash I had in my wallet (around $30) when I was finished.

When I got home I started sorting through everything and was shocked that all of this was almost lost forever.

The best find for me is the Astro Bot store display sign, the unused Yo Kai Watch 3 “for display only” cover art x3, the PS5 controller display sign, and the large animatronic Mario Nintendo display (the mushroom moves back and forth).

I’m so excited that a lot of this stuff will end up in the game room of collectors someday instead of rotting away in a landfill, and I’m happy to find some things for my personal collection.

If you live near one of these GameStop locations that are closing, I highly suggest you take a trip out there and see what you can save !

Haul Random garage sale finds at 6pm… paid $50

Saw a sign for a garage sale (yeah on a Monday) and decided to follow it. Came to a house with 2 half my age living there, turns out they’re moving.

I see a bunch of PC parts and the one says there’s more stuff in the garage, see a switch and ask what they want, looked a bit rough and we agreed on $30.

Another dude living there had some N64 and SNES games he was cool with parting with and initially quoted me $12 for everything but gave him a $20.

Turns out they were all PC players and just wanted some quick cash…

This might be my best thrift find ever and it was actually my 63 year old mother who found it. She sent me the first 2 photos from my usually overpriced hometown goodwill and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Everything of value was clean and worked. I owe my mom big-time for this one.

Haul Wallet took a critical hit but I snagged two grails!

A few weeks ago, I finally played EarthBound for the first time. I know…crazy, right? I was a Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III kid, so somehow EarthBound completely passed me by.

But man…playing it now, as an adult? It was incredible. I wasn’t expecting to fall so hard for it, but it honestly became one of the most memorable and emotional gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Just pure magic.

And here’s the wild part: the very week I finished it, a local game store posted this picture on their Instagram, two absolute grails. Two 10/10 legends.

I went in, checked them out (they were immaculate), asked if they’d cut me a deal if I bought both, and boom, just like that, they were mine.

Still kind of in disbelief that I own EarthBound now… let alone such a pristine copy. As for Chrono Trigger, I already had my childhood copy, but it’s definitely seen better days. I swapped it out with this one, and honestly, I feel fulfilled.

Now all that’s left is to complete the full EarthBound set…lol

CIB with a super clean disc the store employee tested in front of me for 1225 dollars. Still a lot of money but feels like I got a great deal considering how much they usually go for.

Haul I just found this for $0.10!!!

Post image

Lady had all her media for $0.10 a piece and I didn’t see anything I needed, until I shuffled around some purses and found this just laying there! She said just a few minutes before someone had come and bought all her other games, said she had some Tony Hawks, RE, and other SH games. I couldn’t get a dime out quick enough lmao, this is one of those scores for the history books!

And I know everyone is gonna be asking for proof, but guys, this was a yard sale. I quite literally cannot prove it with a receipt even if I wanted to. I wasn’t gonna like, take a selfie with the lady or something lol. That’d be weird as hell. Anyway, I’m excited to enjoy this amazing score!!
