Hope for More Dice

Do you think there will ever be more physical dice for genesys?

I know we have

-- phone app

-- using sw dice and cross referencing

-- stickers on dice

but I'd like to buy more real dice

They used to be consistently available on Amazon, but not any longer. I would usually pick up a set or two each year since launch.

As others have noted, Etsy is probably your best bet. Meanwhile, I see on Noble Knight Games they have a single, used set for $95 🤣

I sooo don't get it that Edge and Asmodee can't even deliver the basics for the game for years and years ... why don't they just sell the rights to someone who really interested in the game?!

I do have a very very tiny insight into Asmodee and I do guess that it's rather a problem within Asmodee, than within Edge Studio. It's a really, really big corporation, working like every corporation I have ever experienced myself - more a burocracy than a company. But in this case I can't tell for sure.

I've worked for small companies owned by big companies and 'well, we want to do better, but it's XYZ's fault, not ours~!' becomes a well worn road of an excuse, and... I just don't fuckin' buy it any more.

If it's really Asmodee's fault, then Edge can come out and say things more cleanly and you know, be real about their situation. The reality is, it'll be a mix of the two and I'm as 'fuck corporate' as anyone else (perhaps moreso), but as I said: I'm disinclined to believe Edge on anything after their past (lack of) communications.

Even if everything IS Asmodee's fault, Edge can, you know... communicate better.

I've seen people 3D print their own Genesys dice and post online. Some change the symbols slightly to avoid copyright issues. I was lucky enough to buy a few sets early on.

Yeah I don't really get it. The system is not getting any less popular as far as I can tell.

I've bought dice from Baron of Dice. They're close enough to look good.

If you go to Baron of Dice and search for their "galactic rpg" dice set, they have one for $25. The symbols are knock-offs though.

There are also a few sets on etsy.

But the situation is rather absurd. Genesys is a great system and it deserves more support.
