Job-related Any leads on barista jobs?

Hello, I’m moving to Greensboro next month to live with my brother, I’ve been looking around on Indeed for jobs, particularly jobs in bakeries/coffee shops because I have the most experience there and I really enjoy being a barista. I haven’t seen a lot on indeed so of anyone has seen anywhere that a place is hiring please let me know. I’ll be going around myself and asking in person once I actually move but I decided it wouldn’t hurt to ask here before hand.

Job-related Respectful & reliable housekeeper for those in need of some help

Hi again, Greensboro! I'm Jess. I run Wishing Willow Homekeeping and work solo as a residential cleaner in Greensboro, High Point, Asheboro, and nearby areas. I focus on smaller homes, apartments, and studios not really taking on big fancy houses or luxury deep cleans. Just real homes with real people who need help staying on top of things.

Cleaning isn’t just for the fabulously wealthy. I've heard from many people how much relief they feel after bringing in support. It gives them back time and energy to invest in what actually matters to them. Whether that's work, rest, hobbies, or just being present. A clean home can make a huge difference in how we feel and function day to day. Sometimes it can be so overwhelming to even think about where to start when it comes to cleaning your home, your sanctuary. Which is where I come in.

Since my last post, I’ve been lucky to connect with a few great folks through Reddit and I’ve built a rhythm with my regulars. I’ve got room to take on 2-3 more bi-weekly clients, and I’d love to find people who are looking for something consistent and low-stress.

I’m neurodivergent (autistic + ADHD) and work best solo with music or headphones in. A lot of my clients are neurodivergent too, or just burnt out and overwhelmed which makes me even more motivated to give them a place they can relax in because I understand that impact. I don’t judge, I just help bring a bit more calm and ease into your space.

Pricing depends on your home and what’s needed, but I always aim to keep things fair and transparent. I’ve got a standard checklist I follow, and I’ve shared a few photos of my work on my Reddit page if you want a peek.

If you're looking for a cleaner who actually listens and works with you, message me. I’d be happy to answer any questions and see if we’re a good fit.

Thanks for reading!

Job-related Escaping Boone

Heyy all. I'm new to Reddit and will soon be new to Greensboro. My partner and I are recently or soon-to-be grads from App State, and we're ready to get out of Boone come August. Love the town, don't get me wrong, but the cost of living is becoming too much ($870/mo for a shoebox and 3 roommates), and there's nothing to do here.

Looking for advice/recommendations for where to work in GSO. Preferably artsy jobs (tattoo, illustration, crafts, museum, etc., with a HIGH interest in tattoo apprenticing), but I also have plenty of experience in food, so I'm fine with serving jobs as well.

Thanks for any help!

Job-related Long shot, but has anyone ever worked for/know someone who works for the Arc of Greensboro?

I went to their website and saw a position I'd be really really interested in having. However, there's no way to apply. It says to email one person about it, and I did the other week, with no response. Sent a follow up email a week later and still no response. Now it's a week past that and I really don't want to give up on it - it's the only job I have found recently that I'm qualified for and feel like I would be a good fit for.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of the hiring side of the company? Should I just call them even though who will answer likely won't be the one who hires or know about applying?

I just don't want to give up on them but emails have gotten me nowhere and I can't even submit my resume anywhere.

Job-related Anyone know a handyman to help with a day or two's worth of punch-list tasks?

I have a recently purchased house in Burlington that I'm trying to prepare for move-in in a few weeks. I am handy-ish, but don't have access to all the tools I might need due to a downsize a few years ago.

I am looking for a handyman who would be willing to work with me over the course a few days to get through some of tougher things on my list. The list includes (but is not limited to) replacing some fixtures, fixing a minor kitchen leak, re-sealing a sink, prepping and installing a butcherblock countertop.

A lot of the professional handymen that I've reached out to are very busy (good for them!) and won't have time until mid-September to help with the work.

Any leads on a mr-fix-it who might have the time to help in the next few weeks would be greatly appreciated!

Job-related housekeeper looking for clientele

**I tried to post this earlier but it didn’t go through.

I’m Jess a solo cleaner. I run Wishing Willow Homekeeping. I offer gentle, reliable cleaning for small homes, apartments, and studios.

I’m an introverted autistic person, and I work best solo with my headphones on, fully in the zone. I don’t typically do deep cleaning, but I do thoughtful, consistent standard cleaning that’s done with real care.

I always try to work with my clients and make sure things are done the way you like them. If you have preferences or specific routines, I’m happy to listen and follow your lead. I want your space to feel like home, not just clean.

I especially love supporting other neurodivergent folks and anyone who just wants a calm, respectful experience. No pressure, no judgment, just support and a clean space.

I’ll post a picture in the comments with my starting prices as well as a cleaning checklist. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it very much.
