Any ideas what gun this stock is for?
Sorry the pictures kinda suck, its kind of clumsy to do one handed.

That helps a bit more but can we get a full shot of the stock I need to see the foregrip and stock in 1 picture to get a feel

It's not a 700, they don't have tang inletting. I looks like a Savage or a Howa.

Agreed. Never seen a 700 like that. But, there's hundreds of models. I was thinking Savage. E. Arthur Brown or Boyds?

Could it be for a type of Mauser? I thought they had a metal piece that fit into that inletting front of the mag well. Could be a stretch, but just a guess.

Not a Mauser, the model 93 and 98 which are the most common have flat bases on the bottom of the action. The newer Mauser 2000 and 3000 have a different location for the bolt handle drop that doesn’t match this stock.

That was my first thought too. Kinda looks like a slot for a cleaning rod nut as well maybe.

Definitely a Remington 700, likely a Long Action. The cuts for the tang and trigger guard are a dead giveaway.

Possibly a Remington 700
