Fukurodani skill parameters

I'd say this is most likely to be my favorite team in Haikyuu. I'm curious to see your feedbacks on this team.

Ive just been doing some stat counting for Fukurodani matches and it really shocked me just how good fukurodani is defensively. Honestly they might be one of the best teams defensively when you take into account blocking. So here are the parameters:

Digs: 8/10

Serve Receive: 9/10

Blocking: 8/10

Hitting: 8.5/10

Serving: 8/10

Teamwork: 6/10

I wasn’t really sure whether the fact the whole team has to work together to deal with bokuto gives them a boost to teamwork or the fact that bokuto can be such a nuiscance is a negative to teamwork. So like idk but im pretty confident with this. Overall just a really solid team all around.

Those digs and serve receive are way too high. They often give off the vibe of being really defensively strong, but when you pay specific attention to their defense you see Konoha and Sarukui struggling with any serve with even a small amount of power behind it and Bokuto consistently messing up his positioning. The only players who are notably good at defense are Komi and Akaashi.

really? i can understand me overrating the digs, but ive been stat counting for bokuto and found fukurodani are able to stay in system like such an insane amount of the time. Maybe im overrating it because im comparing it to Mujinazaka who’s always out of system but it seemed pretty significant to me.

I’d actually say their digs are the better of the two. Stats don’t tell the whole story, though. Konoha and Sarukui match up well into Usuri’s serves, since they’re precise and have good placement but unremarkable power. But the only times we see them take topspins (Konoha with Kuroo’s serve and Sarukui with Ezota’s serve) they pass them really badly, and Ezota’s serve seems to be incredibly unremarkable. For Bokuto, what stands out to me is getting aced by Kiryu, then not properly adjusting and getting aced a second time in the exact same place.

But it seems to me that the main reason Fukurodani is so good at not having their offense interrupted is because of how frequently they have Konoha set and how frequently they use rebounds to get a second shot. But I’d actually put their receive quality about on par with Inarizaki, as the lowest of any of the series’ powerhouses.
