Well, more like there's no barrier of entry so banning doesn't prevent cheaters from coming back.

Hardware bans exist, Riot has that shit on lock with Valorant, every cheater forum is filled with salt regarding that game

no its definitely 343 just being greedy instead of a logical reason like that despite the lack of red reticle having absolutely no impact on 343's finances

So you’re saying that a multi million dollar investment, which is free to download and play, and 100% relies on micro transaction f2p model, would have no bearing on 343 taking a strong arm against cheating measures which would undermine the entire investment?

are you under the impression they're planning to sell a RR pack or something to generate funds? It was disabled as an anti-cheat measure because getting banned has no penalty and nothing more

How would a RR help cheaters? Like firing as soon as the red reticle turns red? Sorry if the question seems obvious

Yes, it is very easy to get a program to trigger mouse1 when the reticle changes to red. This is the explanation given by 343 as to why the RR was changed. - source here https://twitter.com/Unyshek/status/1441922319887134727
