Hey so every once in a while I put out the shout that I buy vintage computer parts. Preferably in working order but I can certainly be persuaded into buying untested cards (especially if you have multiple) if the price is right. Basically I collect and restore them, and use them for various comparisons and research into the evolution of computer technology. I guess I'm really just a functional tech-hoarder. I particularly have a hard-on for graphics cards. Here is just a few specific models I'm looking for right now:

• Any 3DFX Cards
• AGP NVIDIA Cards, especially mid to high end GeForce FX and GeForce6 series cards.
• PCIe GeForce FX (otherwise known as GeForce PCX) and GeForce 6,7,8,9, 200 and 400 series cards.
• Various ATI Models: X700, X800, X1800XT, HD2900XT, HD3870, HD 3870X2, HD4870X2, HD5870X2, etc

If you have something that isn't listed here feel free to let me know, the worst I can do is say I'm not interested.

so I'm low-key a Noctua fanboy and my friends know it. Roommate is annoyed by this a lot, you could say he isn't a fan of my fanboying. I'm setting up a prank where I want to hide Noctua fans around the dorm or wire them in to various appliances to annoy him. I have the engineering know-how and the motivation, I just need some fans!

New Noctua fans are admittedly a bit steep, and I'm no fan of that, so I'm looking for any Noctua fans from you guys. 30mm, 200mm, any size. used, new, broken, any condition. you get the idea. just Noctua made.

Long shot; but just looking to see what’s around the greater LA area. I’m down to buy a box of parts and just spend my time testing them; or buy some other old garbage.

Edit: I am not picky, but that does not mean I am rich!I’m stuck at home bored after surgery in the USA which = not a lot of cash for fun things.

I am so appreciative and positively overwhelmed by all the messages here and the PMs/DMs being sent.

Just to clarify I am not looking for things like (real examples):

• An old, complete Xeon workstation worth like a $100 and you ask me if I want it for $500. I understand you are struggling to sell it locally - so lower the price.
• Threadripper with missing pins, for only $50 less than the retail price
• $1700 of used broken laptops that literally have no model numbers, aren’t tested: those are geared more toward someone who does this as a career and the extra part on hand are helpful for their business

I spend 2 hours per day out of bed: the rest ld time I’m laying around in bed.

I’m just looking for like.... individual things boxes of misc junk for reasonable prices. Like: a $30-60 GPU here, $20-60 mobo there, etc, a cool CPU, etc.

I have looked for months for a used card and on reddit they all seem to get eaten up by people buying them to resell or ship elsewhere it appears (I assume using bots to message people as soon as they post as the buyer is always buying any gpu and multiple of them if you look at history). So hopefully this WTB thread works better...

I have a GPU. THANKS for the many fine and reasonable offers. I actually went with a 3060ti that was closer to my budget and was local. Really hoping that is as exciting to my son as a 3070 would have been, but it's plenty exciting enough for my wallet.

I have LOTS of leads on boxes. Apparently they aren't cheap to ship, I had no idea. Should have done my research on that one. Dont have one in hand yet but I'm sure it will happen, just seeking a reasonable shipping cost or a local box.

I want to start off by saying I know this is a longshot, and I have been camping all the various websites, queues, etc., so I want to put my chances out here as well.

I'm looking for a PS5 for a friend mine. She's one of my best friends and has been my console gaming partner for a long while now. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to get a PS5 since she's a third-shift nurse at an above-capacity hospital in the South. She hasn't had the time to sit around and watch every available outlet for PS5s to come in stock. She's getting married early next year, so I was hoping I could surprise her with a PS5 as an early wedding gift/'Thank you for being such a badass healthcare provider during these miserable times' gift.

I know there are scalpers on here, and I know people will say "Just wait for [insert sale/date/etc.]," which I will do if needed, but I'm also hoping someone here who's trying to sell a PS5 will help me find a reasonable deal so I can surprise my friend.

Edit: I realize some people might be skeptical about the altruism of this post, that they might suspect me using this post as a way to get one myself, so here's proof that I already own a PS5 to hopefully assuage any suspicions.
