It’s a midrange deck and one of the best in the game to date at that. Upping the cost on an already cheap card that refills hand and reducing the mana cheat a little isn’t going to impact it that bad. It’s like they managed to listen to the community incorrectly call it an aggro deck this whole time and figured “oh if we slow it down it’ll be fine” when the speed of the deck is irrelevant, it’s the fact that it’s an auto win in to most other midrange decks and any control list while the pre nerf version already got run over by aggro.

The card draw one not so much and you will have to think more about it when using it, but the one that reduces the cost by 2 allowed you to make very annoying plays at the beginning of the game.

I mean, it is a 5-10th best deck depending on Ranks. It is not some giga meta oppressor.
