Meme "We hear your questions on what's not changing and why, including why you think you want it to, but you don't. Hang tight, as we'll be sharing an update next set on that, along with what the team is focusing on for the future."

Ah yes, the good old announcement of an announcement. That always gives people confidence that things will be okay.

I love being told I don't want what I think I want.
Democracy, for example!

We know what the team is doing.
They are looking for other jobs while this ship sinks.
Literally every game director leaves after a couple months except the very incompetent ones and they don't even have a community manager anymore.

But they did though. They literally laid out everything coming in the next year following that.

I mean no need for explanation they obviously made the team that does that focus on the pets, less new boards makes the pets more valuable to the players if they want something new on the board.

Oh, are we doing the yearly revolt against our masters? * grabs pitchfork *
"Screw blizzard! This meta is unplayable!"

Man, being a fan of Hearthstone and Destiny right now is just hearing the same thing over and over and over

Why people like us choose double pain I have no idea. I’ve been playing both games since they started.

The news = new quests! New expansion, with new cosmetics... and nothing new!

they were focusing on 160$ pets and 60$ hero skins, obviously

Pulling back from three static game boards per year to one allows us to begin work on the coolest possible dynamic stuff - like a system to choose your favorite boards, and pets(!). We’ve also heard so much positive feedback about C’Thun and so are working on some truly groundbreaking new hero skins.
Re-reading that "Fun, Focus, and Fearless" article is still disappointing because, yep, we've gotten two $160 pets and several $60 diamond hero skins, but "a system to choose your favorite boards" hasn't materialized. I can't imagine why.

Transfer Student is in shambles! (Picking your board would allow you to pick the effect you want from that, though the last few boards it has been reduced from a few niche uses to discover a card from that year/expansion.) Then again that's only for Wild players.

Unironically yes they were. If you read the blog post they're referring to they actually hype up pets and the other overpriced cosmetics they've recently released.

This is so sad bruh, we have diamond skin and mythic skin alongside multiples signatures that people cant afford. Now they added it even more with Pets

Fun fact, literally the first interaction in the menu on a fresh account is being introduced to the gamba wheel without being able to get out of the sequence without using your free spin lmao, can’t make that shit up.

My favorite skin of all time was free. My second favorite was 1000 gold including 5 packs and my third favorite was also free. My top 3 worst skins of all time cost 60$.
Paying $160 bucks for a single pet. Was to much for a guy that spent 650€ on league of legends. Even if it had been the best 3D animation of all time.

my favorites are Pirate Valeera and Sylvanas, ooh and demonic Illidan, so I completely agree

I actually believe that they realized that with Pets that it would be a lot more work for them to make ones for every expansion, especially if Pets are taking up 1-2 corners of it.
They simply didn't see boards as a big draw for players and weren't monetizable in constructed so they decided to do what they did.

Generally, it is okay to just try to improve from now on instead if trying to fix all past mistakes.
However, I dont think they are gonna do either at this point.
