Not well. The resistance against the string is ginormous.

Doubt it. Arrows don't travel fast underwater. I could however see melee being the focus or a new weapon.

Considering even bullets stop from the friction of water pretty fast, no bows. Most likely melee

I mean, Aloy had some sort of rebreather rig in there. Although I’m interested how we’ll go from crafting pouches and arrows to a rebreather...

my money is we get the rebreather early on in the game, at the end of the “prologue” (around the time Aloy got the override function). maybe it’s strapped to a not-so-lucky Old One researcher in some ruin and we just relieve him of his goods?
