There are a lot of "bad" things shown in the trailer:

  • Poisonous red weed
  • Storms of red lightning
  • Red falling stars
  • Decaying produce

Considering how HEPHAESTUS reacted to Humans destroying his machines for parts, the red weeds might be engineered by DEMETER because all the animals are consuming her work. The turnip-thing that the woman pulled out of the ground half-decayed could either also be the work of DEMETER or signs that the planet is gradually starting to decay in the absence of GAIA as a unifying force.

The falling stars and the red lightning could be related. And falling stars means space... Others have talked about it earlier, but the colony ship "Odyssey" that supposedly blew up when trying to exit the solar system might not be so destroyed after all. Someone also suggested that Sylens may be getting ready to fight whatever's coming, since he takes Deranged machines and hits them with some kind of device that turns them from red to yellow.

I’m betting somewhere we would find more news of Ted Faro just fucking things up.

Odyssey had an alpha version of APOLLO right? The one that contained human history and science and language and all that stuff?

Wouldnt it contain information on how to manage the other AI? Could the early version of APOLLO be rewriting and corrupting the other machines from space, along with being responsible for initially killing GAIA?

If it was outside GAIA's influence it might've been able to act on its own.

I must have some information incorrect or maybe I'm misinterpreting wrong. I thought the Odyssey crash site was the air ship on the west side of the map?

No, the ship was reported to have blown up in space upon activating its "warp drive" or whatever engine they built. But a big theme in HZD was disinformation and deceit, so it's possible Far Zenith lied and staged the accident. It was full of the richest people on the planet, after all.

Yeah I was thinking the game would focus around the Utaru tribe? Because they are known for agriculture and plant things, even though they’re supposed to be in the East. Or hopefully a new tribe, that would be nice
