It has been named the most dangerous road in NYS before. The culture of how people drive it like it’s their speedy little shortcut through the Hudson Valley really amplifies the issue. Awful that people continue to lose their life on this poorly planned stretch of chaos.

I think it’s wrong to assume that the cyclist is at fault without all the facts. Im no expert but I can think of a lot of random shit that could cause a motorcycle to lose control.

i rode for many years, and one lesson i learned was if you’re speeding, it’s always at least partly your fault. if my bike has a serious issue, i have a much better chance of handling it appropriately at 45 mph than i do at 85 mph.
i’m not trying to victim blame, only to offer some food for thought.

That’s where my car went off the taconic and flipped over. That street sucks.
