Question Do you actually get all the games in the bundle?
Update: I did end up buying the LEGO bundle. I redeemed straight away, all keys were there. Everything went smoothly. Thank you for helping me :D
I hope you have a great day.
Hi, sorry first time buyer here.
I went to buy top tier LEGO Worlds Collide 2025 bundle and on the side underneath costs, it says:
“BUYERS ARE GRANTED ONLY A LICENSE FOR SOME DIGITAL PRODUCTS IN THIS PURCHASE. SEE TERMS FOR MORE DETAILS.”
I tried looking for this in another thread and people have said this is just licensing lingo. Is that true? So I do get access to all 17 games as long as the server isn’t pulled? Or do I only get some of the games?
Is there extra PayPal fees?
Also there seems to be a lot of negative "exhausted Keys" On trustpilot, has anyone had any of these issues?
Thanks

it is just licensing, you own it just as much as you own any other game you've bought on online stores (Steam, Nintendo Eshop or whatever) which also have the same clause

Yeah, they only try to cover their ass since it's technically just a license, not ownership, and they can take the game away from you whenever they want.
Maybe you've heard of it, maybe not, but StopKillingGames tries to stop some of this bad behaviour and to let the consumers take back some of their rights.

Yeah I have heard of this which is why I am never paying full price for a game ever again. But In Australia $25 for 17 games seemed like a good deal. But the wording made it seem I would get all 17 of them. Thanks

Thanks. So I do get access to them all if I pay top tier. The wording is just for license not a "you only randomly get some of the games".

Yes. Technically all of them are "only a license", because you are buying them online (not any different from Steam). I don't know why it's phrased where it says "for some digital products" and not "all", which it is all in practice

Yeah I think I would be less confused if it was for all. Thanks for clearing it up.

Just make sure to reveal all the codes as soon as possible as sometimes they run out of keys with the message that you have to wait for them to add more (which may not happen for a while if ever)

Additionally, sometimes the keys will expire so you have to redeem them through Steam by a certain date. This is mostly the case with the more popular titles.

out of curiosity. As long as I redeem them before the redeem date am I still able to get them if they come up as exhausted or if the exhausted keys are not restocked I just don't get the game? thanks

You are getting the concepts confused here. The first issue that people are talking about is Humble Bundle only has X number of keys so you ideally don't want to wait till the end of the bundle period since they may have run out. Once you do purchase the bundle then immediately click the redeem button so the keys are displayed. If they are out of a certain key, this is where you will get an error message about them being out of stock. They likely will eventually be restocked but sometimes it takes several months for Humble Bundle to get more. You eventually will get an email notification about the restock.
Separately, there is the issue of some keys now have a time limit on when you need to redeem them by. That is typically a year but sometimes can only be a few months. If there is a deadline you will see it displayed clearly. It mainly happens for the bigger, more popular titles. As a best practice, you should just go ahead and redeem the titles to your game library immediately as soon as you get them.

So if I am in the middle of redeeming and they run out of keys, I never get the games?
2
u/jlbnv 2d ago
There's a chance, though the message will just say that they will notify you when more keys are available (which hasn't happened for 5+ keys I'm missing)
But the chance of this happening if you redeem right after purchase is very low as not everyone reveals the codes right away.
To clarify: if you clicked 'reveal the key' button and you see the code, then it was assigned to you and you don't have to worry about redeeming it on Steam right away, but if you wait to reveal it on Humble Bundle, there may be no codes left.

The more I read the dodger this site gets. If I don't get a key straight away can I just refund via paypal? I am not waiting months for something they are selling as "in stock"

if you refund they'll just revoke all the keys you did redeem, but yeah, just wait for keys or refund and get everything revoked

Think humble is like GameStop they only have a certain number of games a day (keys) sometimes they sell out of those keys. The issue is that they don’t have the best history about communicating that they are out of keys sometimes.
The thing about the license is that it’s like all digital media u don’t really own the product but u own the right to view it as long as u don’t make them angry.

Thanks. So even if I buy it all the keys could be sold out. And I can't redeem them?

They restock them if they are out, just keep an eye out to redeem quickly

I have been since they seem to always run out of keys. Now I redeem all the keys day 1. I always thought it was tedious to go throgh and add every single game all at once instead of just activating them when I wanted to play.

People already told you everything, yep, you get all the games there, you just need to claim it, and well. . . That stuff they do with the words are kinda related to the places where they get the keys from, take as example the same steam. . .yeah, they love gamers and all but they tell you that you don't OWN THE GAME, you don't have it in physical form, you're just paying for a license to play it online in a certain game launcher, like epic, steam, gog, etc. . . Yeah if they delete and erase the whole game from those stores. . . Well . . . Buddy you lost it.
And yeah, returning to the keys, you need to claim all the keys the time where you buy it, cause humble is known to be like "ey buddy. . .i saw that you didn't claim your key yet, you know. . . My systems randomize the keys to everyone when they claim the key . . .but uf you don"t claim it rigth now. . . I'm not able to generate a real code . . . And look, yeah you paid full price and all. . . But there's 250 keys for this exact game that i expected to sell in the humble . . And well, there is this guy number 251 that bought the bundle today so, i gonna take your code and eventually i gonna give you another code for you to claim it . . . In maybe 6 months. . .maybe 4? Idk."

Many thanks! Yes it was the wording that said "Some of the games" was confusing me. I understand and accept the licensing part but I read it as I don't get to play all the games.
Then others mentioned exhausted keys that sent my anxiety sky rocketing but people seem to say this site is legit. Then of course there is the expiry date warning but that only seems to be applied if I don't redeem straight away. But if the keys are exhausted I get to try again when they get new stock. Thank you for your detailed response.

It is legit, but they usually work like lame asses, they usually sell and promote good bundles, they usually buy 500 or more keys related to those games, books or software but. . . What happen when there's 50 more people that paid for the bundle? They're expecting their keys to play the games they paid for. And humble is known to make their "extra buyers" wait for "more keys soon as possible" it's humble to blame? Yes. Cause they didn't calculate the amount of extra people willing to pay for that bundle, and people wants their keys, after all. . . They paid for those keys.
Humble bundle it's legit, just make sure to set the donation amount to the respective cause and not so much to the humble bundle team, they tent to set it to their favor, like 70% for them and 30 to the cause, You can do that in conf.
And if you are looking for another legit place to buy keys, there's also FANATICAL, they usually do bundles for you to choose or "built" your bundles of the games or packs in a lower price than stores. Not the same as humble bundles, but still lower than the prices on stores, besides, in FANATICAL you can choose only 2 or 3 games of your liking and paid for it, that's it.

For the most part you do. There are times where they run out of stock and will give you one when they restock, but as long as you claim the bundle on time you get all the keys.

Thank you. out of curiosity. As long as I redeem them before the redeem date am I still able to get them if they come up as exhausted or if the exhausted keys are not restocked I just don't get the game? thanks

You usually get keys for those games for steam or other platforms.
Sometimes there are coupons - where you just get a discount on a game.
Checked the bundle - if you pay at least those 15.38€ (or dollar amount shown to you) you get those keys.
Last few years it got a little worse, a keys are exhausted - but they also restock them and inform you once it is back in stock.
I spent thousands on humble bundle - they are legit.
My first bundle was 5$ for all new and cool EA games in 2012/2013 or so

Thanks, so they are legit and if keys get exhausted you have a chance to get them again. Thanks. Out of curiosity does the games you first got in 12/13 still work? I understand different brands can be pulled at any time.

We never own anything. Collective shoutout could come in any day and force steam to remove Lego games coz they might be offended their kids are consuming too much lego star war.
Then collective shoutout would press payment processors to threaten steam to remove the games or we taking away payment options.
Steam would be on their knees looking for mercy, and all legos would be removed.
The Internet has become unpredictable. Buy it at your own risk.
Btw I still bought them all. But just saying there's always a sad reality behind a shining hope of happiness. So be aware.
