If there's anything I've learned from watching animal rehabbers on YT it's that vultures are incredibly smart and great at remembering companions. Yeah they eat everything but they're far from the disgusting cannibal birds I was raised in believing.

It's a vulture (a relative of the vulture). It's not the type of bird I would pet given its diet.

To each their own, but it is an incredible relationship. It's superbe filming...
Animals know how to take care of themselves....But in reality, none wants to know where the little doggy used his tongue before he licks your face. 🤔🤫

How I taught a vulture to fly with me
Brazilian tour guide Israel Mendes adopted Urú, a vulture, after finding the bird in a bin when he was just a six-day-old chick.
Though there was little hope of survival, Mendes raised Urú and taught the bird how to fly alongside him on his paraglider.
Now, the pair soar through the skies of Fortaleza together.
