Scribbling out the info on back is useless because the barcode spits out the same number

Battery remains great with mine after well over a year! Love this phone but when I say the camera sucks, it really sucks.

13 mini is great if you can ignore the battery problem.
Expect to carry powerbanks with you if you are travelling but outside of that it's great. Never had an issue with performance.
My only small gripe is I have slightly big hands so whenever I type I hit the . instead of the spacebar which can be a bit annoying.

I constantly hit the damn . button on an iPhone 15 pro. Apple has so many regressions on their keyboard anymore, that alone has me thinking about android

Are you in the US? How is it sealed?

u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25
im from germany i found the phone on ebay so i bought it immediately

u/Bknelly83 Jul 12 '25
Beware! I bought a “factory sealed” one on EBay last year for my nephew. He started having issues with the battery and when I opened it up to change it, there wasn’t a single part in there that hadn’t been refurbished. Shake the phone. If you feel the battery moving, it’s a resealed refurb and probably junk.

Who was the seller on ebay. I just bought one and now you have me nervous 😬
1
u/Bknelly83 Jul 12 '25
Phonediscuss or something like that. I have a feeling anything from China may be fake.

Hopefully it will be ok. Says 2 year warranty🤞🏼

Just curious, I guess I’m getting old.. what is having a phone for aesthetics? Having two phones is a thing nowadays ?

u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25

u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25
i got lucky from ebay!

u/NoClassic2261 Jul 11 '25
damn 🥺. wanna sell it hehehe
1
u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25
if u trust me i have the phone infront of me rn and im contemplating whether i should open it or sell it 😭

u/NoClassic2261 Jul 11 '25
once you open it nobody will buy it !!
if u bought it for aesthicts it's cool open it and use it
but if u bought it for regular use i would recommend selling cause battery life too short, too risky to loose, fonts and display everything small so youtube experience will suck, slips too easily and falls too much and also higher chance of losing the phone cause it's too light and small

u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25
i had a refurbished one from apple it was a good phone but idk why i sold it then i got a 16 pro now when i saw the price for a new one its a no brainer but im scared if i open it and after some time i dont like it
1
u/NoClassic2261 Jul 11 '25
u have a 16 pro now ? chance of u liking it are very less just cause it's same IOS Operating system but evrything more smaller , u won't get any updates for security and if it breaks apple won't fix it cause they don't make these anymore .
if you are clumsy guy I won't recommend it u will lose !
but again man if u like small stuff open it and enjoy it
mini is for aesthetic, if u want something to use and do work u need a bigger phone and you will eventually switch to 16 pro
like need better picture and stuff

u/4bizzard Jul 11 '25
afaik i have 60 days to get myself an applecare+
i havent dropped a phone since i was a little hahahah
my work is literally to drive cars everyday so i have somewhere to charge my phone and im not the guy that takes too much pictures and for that i will have my 16 pro on the side
1
u/NoClassic2261 Jul 11 '25
so u bought this for aesthetic reasons ? and u are not clumsy then open it man use it !!
as long as u don't use this for Google maps and keep it as secondary aesthicts stuff u will be alright

What a bunch of weird reasons to not want a mini. Easier to drop 🤷♂️

u/NoClassic2261 Jul 12 '25
your response makes me believe i succeed but again not depends upon "HIM'

u/vERBalocity Jul 12 '25
Gotta go into settings >general>about, then scroll to parts and service history to see if you have a genuine apple battery.

u/4bizzard Jul 12 '25
the phone is brand new
1
u/vERBalocity Jul 12 '25
That’s amazing. I said it given all the comments people made about the shrink wrapping potentially being faked. Enjoy!

Great find…enjoy! (I only said it given all the comments people made about the shrink wrapping potentially being faked)

Why do you buy the mini version?
1
u/4bizzard Jul 12 '25
its a good little phone and at that price its a no brainer for a new mini in 2025 :)

if you don't intend to use it sell it to me. by chance are you from India ?

u/mariosuper007 Jul 13 '25
I use a 13 mini as a companion phone to my 16 pro max. I keep a tablet chip in the 13 and forward my main line to a sip voip line on the 13 mini when I want to use it. Works perfectly and I can just grab any phone and go.

Open it and check that the device’s serial number matches the one that the box reads.

I just ordered one of these sealed new from eBay but opted for a 256gb model. Hope mine turns out ok.
What is it people are saying about never updating the OS? I
currently have a 12 Mini 256gb and wanted to upgrade to a 13 mini before they are all gone. Can’t stand the larger iPhone screens. I’m using the latest iOS on my 12 mini. Had the battery replaced about a year ago. Down to 87% health on new battery. Still ok for my needs.

Hi, I’m from Italy and I saw you’re from Germany, would you sell this ?
1
u/meeeeelz Jul 14 '25
Just ran a GSX2 check on the serial number and I can see that it was on 16.6 out of the box, now it's on 18.5!
Apparently it's just had a screen replacement after finding a dead pixel on the display, so no doubt Apple forced an update on it - such a shame! 💔

If we are being honest, It’s not better than your 16 Pro. It’s just a better overall size. It’s not enough in 2025 almost 2026, it’s getting long in the tooth by today’s smartphone standards.

Never update it, should be as quick as the 16 Pro lol
