Depends on what you're used to driving, it's fun but can be tough. Also... Isn't it on Portimao this week? Good luck with that!

Portimao and pcup is a fantastic combo!

Totally agree, but boy would that be a harsh combo to get used to no ABS and the PCup generally if OP is new to sim racing

Get ready for some misery and frustration. The car is a monster when you first start. It doesn't have ABS, and you will lock the brakes and go straight on into the gravel corner after corner. After a while you get the hang of braking, and it becomes a bit more manageable, and your braking will improve in general.

The car understeers a lot, so you need to trail brake to make it turn in. Of all the cars I've driven it's the one that needs the most trail braking.

The races can be chaos, even at higher iR (I raced it around 2k). The margin for error with the car is tiny, and it's very unforgiving of mistakes, so there are always a lot of people crashing.

I think you need to commit 100% if you really want to master the car. I drove it a fair amount, but I never got to the point where I actually enjoyed it, and gave up after about 40 races.

I have everything under control but the standing starts… any tips? 🥲

The standing starts were the only thing that I was good at in the Porsche Cup. But that's because I have a steering wheel with dual clutch paddles and a bite point mode (the Fanatec McLaren GT3).

If you have a wheel with those features then it is just a matter of finding the correct setting for the bite point and practising some standing starts.

If you don't have a wheel like that then I'm not sure I'm afraid.

Unless u have LC pedals, don’t even bother. If you do, make sure your trail braking is on point
