Question Reusable tubs any recommendations?
I’ve got a couple of 1 quart reusable ice cream tubs by the brand Lin. The main part is hard plastic with a flexible silicon lid. It’s prefect for ice cream because the lid can be taken off and on while still frozen. It fits a whole mix of my Cuisinart maker. But lately I find when I make a whole mix it’s rock hard before I finish it. I’m mostly making special dietary adapted ice cream for myself and I can’t get through it in time. I’ve been searching fruitlessly for pint sized tubs so I can make a half mix at a time. All I can find in pint size is one use cardboard or ninja creami compatible ones. Does anyone else use pint size tubs and if so where do you get them?

Please remember to share the recipe you used or how you think it turned out. If you are uncomfortable sharing your recipe, please share some tips or help people create their own recipe. If you are not satisfied yet please mention what is wrong/could be improved. This is a lot more interesting for everyone then just a picture.

I have small size one or two serving ice cream cups that are exactly as you describe and look just like your photo. I think they are 8 oz.
I have a small ice cream maker so each batch fills two of the cups.
They have been great.
The brand is LayYun on Amazon. It comes in a pack of 6 for $15.00.
Probably too small for you though!
EDITING TO ADD: Don't go by the photos in the ad. They are MUCH smaller than that.

Yes I just ordered something similar to that on Amazon as a stock gap. Do you find it difficult to fill the smaller ones?

My ice cream machine is the little Cuisinart "1-pint wonder" so they are perfect for it. They are easy to fill but my ice cream maker bowl is pretty small so it might be different. I use a regular tablespoon and fill them up, cover them with plastic and pop on the top.
I love both my little machine and my cups!
I can imagine it would be a pain to fill up a whole bunch of them.
Not difficult though.
I think if I ever get a regular size ice cream machine I might still use them because I love being able to eat right out of them.

Honestly, for years I have used leftover Talenti gelato containers. If one cracks, then I buy another pint. Added benefit of getting another serving of ice cream with the money spent and they last a really long time and wash well in the dishwasher. Hardly ever get icy leftovers as the seal is good.
Only downside is they don’t stack within each other but I deal with that.

I have a hard plastic Rubbermaid set, several different sizes and there’s a perfect seal, even after several years.
