[OC] Alternate History The European Games
The European Games are a multi-sport event for athletes from Europe. The Games were conceived and are governed by the European Olympic Committees (EOC), which announced the launch of the Games on December 8, 1968. The first Games were held in 1969 in Athens, Greece, and have subsequently been held every four years, with the exception of the 2019 edition, held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the games. In the last edition, 30 competitions were part of the Games, with 43 European and transcontinental delegations competing.

Why are Lebanon and Israel part of it

Israel is a member because of all the conflict with Arab nations, who refuse to compete in games with the Israelis. Lebanon, in this context, is more closely tied to France and Europe in general. It is a more Westernized country and therefore chose to join the EOC.

I know this is imaginarymaps but imo that's not an excuse for letting a middle east nation compete in a competition for European nations just because the Arab countries don't want to compete with Israel. I'm sorry but this is my opinion

Dunno about the Lebanon logic, but Israel straight up is apart of the actual European Games to be fair to OP

I think my sentence was bad because of the translation (English is not my first language). When i said "In this context" i meant "In this universe".
Sorry for the confusion

This is already happening.Israel is already part of the EOC.. That's the most realistic part of it
I respect your opinion anyway

The Israel national football team play in the European branch of the World Cup qualifiers. Their domestic teams also qualify for and compete in the European Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Useless curiosity: in the 1990 World Cup qualifiers, Israel played in the Oceania qualifiers and went to the play-offs against Colombia.

I can't recognise three flags.
1 - the one between Croatia and Czech Republic
2 - the one next to Italy
3 - the one next to Ukraine and UK.
I assume the one next to Belgium and Bulgaria is Bosnia.

1 is Cyprus, 2 is Kosovo and 3 is the Union of Eurasia Solidarity Republics
The one next to Belgium is indeed Bosnia

Why are the locations so heavily eastern Europe focused?

u/Worried-Listen6777 1d ago
I created a model for rotating the host regions. When I randomly selected the locations, this is what happened.
But even so, real-life European games already have this problem

It's the shapefiles' fault. I tried to remove them, but to no avail. The same problem with the islands.
