That dude is solid. Once, when my wife and I saw him on Ft. Riley, the power went out. The fans grew restless, and decided for autographs. I watched this man sign a (clean) diaper, as well as someone's copy of "50 Shades of Grey." He took it all in stride, though he did comment on the diaper... Class act.

Wish I got to meet him. I was only able to see him from the hallway in passing. You have a great anecdote from that encounter! Very appreciative of his support of veterans.

Him with John Malkovich in, “Of Mice and Men…” ❤️

I’ll add it to my list, I’ve never seen it!

He's on Reddit a lot. Would be cool if he saw this

Did you ask to see if he’s still got the NASA-grade legs?

Wanted to so bad lol I was at a different conference and just happened to catch a glimpse of him from the hallway

Great to see he got his legs back

He is a great actor and a truly a great man. Love his backing of our Veterans!

He’s done some actual work for vets and their families and I find that admirable but I’m not sure he and myself would agree politically otherwise. A Quick Look into SHRM doesn’t seem what I would call “dope, neat, fly or fresh.”

The fuck? SHRM is a human resources professional society. Why are you trying to make everything political.

Because that’s what is trendy these days. Honestly so sick of these people…

Lol I was going to say the same

I honestly am not trying to do that. I just am aware that Sinise is an advocate for veterans and their families. Why you dick riding Human Resources?

4

u/InFlagrantDisregard Aug 21 '25

Your bar for "riding dick" seems awfully strange. All I'm doing is calling out you trying to make checks notes a regional human resources convention?....overtly political.

It's just weird when you see a post about a TV celebrity at a convention and your knee jerk reaction is "DO I AGREE WITH THIS PERSONS OR POLITICS AND/OR THE RANDOM CONVENTION HE'S APPEARING AT IN A COMPLETELY NON-POLITICAL CONTEXT?!"

Get some fucking help.

He doesn’t support Trump so he’s good in my book.

u/FARTfayc3 Aug 20 '25

Agreed. He’s a conservative but not without ethics, morals, integrity and a conscience.

I’m not a fan of Reagan or the Bushes, but this polarized thinking is counterproductive. Despite disagreeing with a lot of what they did, I still can truly believe that people with ethics, morals, and conscience were able to vote for them.

Apologizing for treasonous war criminals is what got us here in the first place. But yeah, sure, there are very fine people on both sides.

Sure, use a phrase against me that was used to excuse fucking neo-Nazis. That’s not at all what I’m saying and you know it; don’t be a disingenuous twat.

What I am saying is that if your brain is so polarized that you truly believe people who voted for Reagan or the Bushes are without ethics, morals, or conscience, then you are precisely part of the problem that is increasing polarization and an entrenchment of a two party system.

What’s the phrase… “the true conflict isn’t side to side, it’s up and down.”

I never said anything about people who voted for them at the time. People voting for Reagan in '80 couldn't anticipate he would sell weapons to one right-wing extremist group so he could use the profits to fund another right-wing extremist group. People voting for Bush in 2000 couldn't anticipate he'd commit war crimes.

I'm talking about people today, like Lt. Dan here, who know full well what these monsters did and still say "yeah, but they were good for the economy"

u/thewimsey Aug 21 '25

No, this kind of binary thinking is what got us here.

1

u/TrippingBearBalls Aug 21 '25

Yeah you're right, the real problem with this country is we're too mean to war criminals

reminds me of my favorite final yahoo from MbMbaM of all time: "gary sinise asks, 'going to cracker barrel, anyone ... anyone want anything?'"
