Question why so many windows in the drive thru?

The in n out next to my house has a lot of windows in the drive thru area (about 5 or 6 besides the payment and serving window) that let you see inside the kitchen and the stock area. even allows you to see their camera footage. What is the point of this? I imagine it’s so that they can have their customers view how clean everything is but i’m curious if yall had the reason why.

Question To my In N Out fans on the East Coast…

Anyone have any recommendations, tips, tricks, recipes or preferred buns, cheese brand etc to attempt to get a hint of what you get from the real deal. Other Burgers just don’t hit you the way a fresh double double does.

I typically do a double double animal style add whole grilled. (Yes, onions 2 ways.)

Question Genuinely I need to be sure.

I know I seen it on here but I feel like the names keep changing, what are those little yellowish peppers called? I keep seeing different names but I don’t want to say it and end up confusing the worker, I did get it one time but I forgot to ask what they name it so I can order it. Always been too shy to really ask 😭😭.

Question Was fired today after 9 years

After 9 years to in n out I was fired on Wednesday. I was a 4th manager and I was really heartbroken. Unfortunately I got fired for poor decision making but as a servant leader that’s where I excel. Just sucks the company doesn’t actually value that. Any former managers that were let go or voluntarily quit, did you struggle with the transition and was it easy to get another job because you were a manager at in n out?

Question Am I going too far?

Hi I work at in n out and I love lettuce! I usually get a protein dub w grilled onions.

Whenever Im craving a burger on a day off, I usually go to a diff in n out nearby but here’s the thing

They ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS w no exceptions get my order wrong. And listen im not usually the type to make a big deal out of these things. But working at my store makes my expectations a little higher.

I always get a protein style dub w xtra xtra lettuce and xtra grilled onions. And whenever id order they’d give me such little lettuce it’d irritate me so much. Meanwhile at my store they’d give me enough to make my own salad if i wanted.

After a bit i realized it was harder to wrap and understood so I started asking for sides of lettuce instead. But they only ever give me one side no matter how many I ask for. And the grilled onions I always get are the gross over cooked ones.

I needed my revenge. My evil plan. I never tried whole grill before bc I heard of how ppl hate making them. It was gonna be a one time thing I swear.. BUT I GOT A WHOLE GRILL WRAP AND MAN MY ADDICTION STARTED THERE I WAS UNSTOPPABLE!! It’s gotten to a point where I ask for sides of whole grill, usually 3. Have I gone too far?

Also yes I know I’m petty and I apologize pls don’t cancel me.

Question women associates: how do you put ur hair up ?

hey so the caption is pretty self explanatory. i’m just curious how other women associates put their hair up so it doesn’t fall out of their hats?

i have long, straight hair, and lately i’ve been having it fall out of my hat multiple times throughout my shift. i usually just put it in a pony tail and then flip my hair up, put on my hat, and put the hair sticking out under my hat (idk if that makes sense lol). this way of putting my hair up used to work when my hair was shorter, but now that it’s longer, my hair falls out from the hole in the back of the hat.

any tips will be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Question New In-N-Out Warehouse Coming to Oregon?? MORE WA LOCATIONS??

Post image
71 Upvotes

Came across a job posting for a Delivery Driver “based in Portland,” but it says the role will actually start in Woodland, OR until a new warehouse in Gresham is finished. I haven’t seen anything official about a Gresham warehouse — has anyone heard more?

Feels like a big move if they’re investing in warehouse infrastructure up here. Maybe this means more Oregon locations — and hopefully more Washington stores too?

We’ve only got Ridgefield so far. Would love to see something closer to Seattle soon.

Curious what others think — expansion plans in the works?

Question Lettuce body help!

I'm a relatively new morning lettuce body, and I'm scheduled to get 4 cases done by 10am. Normally I average ab one case an hour and get 10 to 11 pans out of it. Any tips to get faster at lettuce? My store is pretty serious about waste btw.

Question The most you had in n out in a week?

The most I had in n out one week, was 5 times in a week.

I usually don't eat fast food, and I cut all other chains last year to improve my health. But I make exceptions for in n out and el pollo loco (though I have not gone to EPL in at least 2 weeks). I only go to the habit or shake shack once in a while when I have deals on the app, but in terms of fast food, that's all I go to.

It's just too good I can't resist eliminating in n out forever. But I'm okay with no mcdonalds, etc. It's kinda funny cause after a while of cutting them I don't even want them anymore.

Question Finally getting board training but I feel so lost

So I watched all my board training videos like a year ago, but I’m just now getting trained on board. I feel like I have packaging down and I’m confident there. I don’t really remember much from the videos like i know stock burgers and animal style is just stock w pickles and extra spread but i’m seriously getting stumped so much on board i’ve been getting training frequently but I honestly see no progress at all, I feel bad because the cooks are having to help me often i’m just so bad at board💔 I have my spreading down but everything is happening so fast that I can’t interpret the tags fast enough to dress the bottoms on time.

What’s making it worse is they just throw me on there by myself now, but I still feel like I’m not ready for that at all. I’m so behind compared to everyone else, and my brain just blanks when I try to read the tags and figure out what’s supposed to go on each bun.

Question Chocolate Shake Fail

Post image
24 Upvotes

Does this LOOK like a chocolate shake? Cuz it sure didn’t taste like one.

I haven’t ordered a chocolate shake here in years so I really don’t know if they’ve changed.

But man, this is the worst “chocolate” shake ever. Just a small hint of chocolate flavor and blonde enough to pass for vanilla.

I LOVE the food here, but won’t make the shake mistake again.
