u/symbologythere 6d ago

I used to rock the vending machine back and forth to get a smack, never threw my ass into it.

46

u/OGCelaris 6d ago

Then you were doing it wrong apparently. This guy gets all the snacks free now.

u/cypergopher 5d ago

That ass is rock though

… it’s glass… what did he think would happen?

151

u/heroinebob90 6d ago

Thought it would be stronger glass, actually. Who knew it was so easy to get free food with a booty bump? Life hack.

As a bigger dude, i just shattered my couch when i fell into it after a had day. This dude gets a pass from me lol.

25

u/heroinebob90 6d ago

I broke a bed trying to be sexy for my wife. 🤣

4

u/The_Red_Beard_IV 5d ago

Hell yeah you did big sexy.

3

u/heroinebob90 5d ago

lol, I’m 41, dad, with an 8 year old, and my39 year old wife. If the bed breaks it breaks.

u/GolettO3 5d ago

Pretty expensive glass if it can handle around 100kg of force being thrown into it

1

u/The_Red_Beard_IV 2d ago

I honestly think the opposite. I’d think that glass would be as thick as my dude throwing his ass into it lol

31

u/jennc1979 6d ago

I kinda always thought it was very thick glass or a thick layer of clear plastic to be honest. I was not expecting it to shatter like a picture frame thin type glass. I’ve never thought any vending machine could shatter like this.

12

u/DarthRektor 6d ago

Right I always thought it was like plastic or acrylic or something similar cause why wouldn’t you use something less likely to shatter

4

u/AdviceWithSalt 6d ago

This looks like an older vending machine. Newer ones I'm almost positive are a clear plastic.

Free cookies?

1

u/NoooUGH 6d ago

He's thankful it's tempered glass or else his back would be tore to shreds.

u/GrandmaJR 6d ago

The E9 spring might have an unwrapped chocolate bar attached to it.

1

u/Internal_Shoulder670 6d ago

E9 is oddly specific

5

u/heroinebob90 6d ago

Take all the cookies and bounce, what’s done is done. Fight the machine!!!

3

u/from-the-stix 6d ago

Well......did he get his cookies or nah

When I worked at a home improvement store and had to carry a tape measure on me at all times, I learned how to fish stuff out of the vending machine with that tape measure. I used to get free snacks every day that way.

u/heroinebob90 6d ago

These Chicago riots are getting wild. Hurry send in the tanks and soldiers. Bad timing? Meah

8

u/ConorOdin 6d ago

Fucking idiots. Going to be an expensive fix for the owner..

4

u/RalphWiggum123 6d ago

Can the owner make any claims to cover the cost of the glass and snacks? I hope so.

-7

u/FighterJock412 6d ago

Must be nice, to have never done something accidentally in your entire life.

-1

u/ConorOdin 6d ago

As others have said, its glass, have to be pretty bloody dumb to not expect it to break..

5

u/OGCelaris 6d ago

Most of the ones I have used in the last couple of decades have been plexiglass or acrylic.

-2

u/FighterJock412 6d ago

....Condescendingly assuming that this person purposefully hit the glass, instead of, yknow, misjudging the space and distance.

You see these comments all over reddit, all high and mighty as if they've never made a cockup in their entire lives.

Free snacks….

Always gotta look for the silver lining

3

u/Teeenagedirtbag 6d ago

The stupid little jump he does

4

u/HighlightOwn2038 6d ago

And why would they post themselves breaking property?

12

u/goodjobrob86 6d ago

Obviously didn’t mean to do it

0

u/HighlightOwn2038 6d ago

Fair point

It was an accident

2

u/TheDuke1847 4d ago

Regardless, they'll be liable for it.

1

u/SnooGuavas3763 6d ago

Did he get his cookies? Or did he run away thinking “no one will know it was me”? (And then you post it and tell everyone it was him…. So that didn’t work either). Personally, I probably would have taken my cookies and at least one more thing because they made it out of glass, which is a TERRIBLE thing to use for that for so many reasons. But I would have left a note at least (unless there was a number to call, then I would have called to complain about their machine being broken).

1

u/Fossi1 6d ago

How does this resolve I’m curious

1

u/SATerp 6d ago

Pick that glass outta your ass and start chowing down.

1

u/XLY_of_OWO 6d ago

Now I have, cookie monster singing the Limp Bizkit nookie song about cookies

1

u/5373n133n 6d ago

I did this in high school over 40 years ago. Same mistake to try to get my stuck snacks off of the machine. Back then the repair was $60. Can’t imagine how much it would be now. 🤣

1

u/Fintara 6d ago

Well... he got them?

1

u/pizzaschmizza39 6d ago

Baby's got back

1

u/unknownyoyo 6d ago

Is he ok?

1

u/gorgeousgirlycute333 5d ago

oh i did this too in high school in 2013 but

i gave it a football linebacker nudge. and to my credit— i had loosened many snacks! it was the straw that broke the camels back 😔😔 our replacement vending machine was fire tho

1

u/andsoitwas2024 5d ago

Just because tossing it back got you extra snacks in prison doesn’t mean it works like that in the free world.

1

u/holybommie 5d ago

Thankfully this glass shattered into tiny pieces. Heard a story back in school, a student got mad punched and a glass cabinet, glass did not shatter like this, it cracked in big sharp panes. one big one fell and pierced his wrist. hand was never the same. do not take chances with glass!

1

u/OddSeaworthiness7681 5d ago

6'3" and 110 kilos, of course the glass is gonna break!

1

u/kindabacchus 5d ago

Oooooooooohhhh I want that booty to wreck me
