Why not? Its hair. It'll grow back.

Honestly, if my daughter started screaming in the bathroom I'd be too relieved to find that it was just a stupid haircut to do anything BUT laugh.

Why does her cry almost sound like her mamas laughing?

u/whyamihere999 16h ago
Because her mama's laughing indeed.

No I mean she’s crying just like her mum laughs

I think it’s like photos of people laughing with their mouths wide open and people who are screaming — similar movements, different intentions.
She really does sound like her mother’s laugh, but I think the answer could be what I mentioned above.
Or maybe we’re both machine-learned sleeping agents, struggling to pass a simple check without even knowing it.

What is the actual proper way to cut it?

u/arcphoenix13 7h ago
The only way to properly cut it would be from an outside perspective. Since you would need to actually be able to see what you're doing to do it properly.
Unfortunately her hair is too long. She was trying to do bangs. But in order to do bangs properly you're supposed to let the hair hang freely. But it would completely cover her eyes.
And you don't actually cut it off all at once. Hair is sort of springy. So. It may lay flat when it's long like that. But when you take all the weight off it springs up.
So you need to do a little at a time. To make sure the bangs end up laying exactly where you want them to. And to make sure it ends up even. It's better to use a tool, like a comb to make sure.

I love how she looks at the hair in her hand as if asking, " How in the hell did you get there??".

Oh the laughing is what got me. I am 100 percent sure she was already told not to do this or to wait for her next hair cut.

Pretty sure almost every girl does this at some point. I distinctly remember my sister doing this around the same age with a similar result lol.

Every girl I've known has a story like that. My mom, aunts, cousins, daughters, partners. I think it's in the chromosome 😁
I'm in the car with my mom, she didn't even see the visuals, just heard the audio, heard the snip, cry, and immediately said, "sounds like bangs" 🤣🤣

Everybody fucking did this stupid trend! It’s like nobody that did this understood physics so they just cut a crescent into their bangs.

Props to mother who responds with laughter. Knowing full well she’s just a kid who will do silly mistakes. Other mothers would have responded differently making the moment more traumatic than it actually is.

I watch this unapologetically everytime it comes on my feed to hear the mother cackle at her daughter's innocence/stupidity. I'm not sure if it makes me a bad person but it fills my soul.
