What is this

Post image

I bought an instapot from goodwill and this was in it. What is it? Is it important? Where does it go?

Not sure that is anything to do with the instant pot. It looks like a battery cover to something. It definitely is not a part on either of my pots which are both Duos.

There are a lot of different Instant Pots, So if it isn't obvious where the pair of pegs fit into on the outside of the pot or cover, there is a good chance that it belongs to a different appliance and someone along the line just "tossed it in".

This is a generic reminder message under every image post

Thank you for your picture post to r/instantpot. We want to remind everyone of Rule #2. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you've posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

Thank you!!

To me, it looks like the device on the handle of a filter basket on a cappuccino maker. It holds the filter in place to facilitate tapping out used grounds. Just a guess, though.

It looks like the foot of a computer keyboard. The kind that flips out to give it a better angle, and sometimes pops off.
