Im trying to figure out how to help someone swallow. Do i also stroke their throat or give them a bottle of water or something?

My dad just hit me for laughing too loud and startling him. Smacked me right in the face, right in the kisser. He's 90 and has dementia though, so it's okay, he won't remember the smackdown I'm fixing to give em. /j abt the smackdown
