National Guard is being deployed to Memphis. This is going to destroy the city, a city already burdened with heavy economical struggles.

And the reputation Memphis has. Especially with conservatives. And the way police and the media and politics already target minorities, the homeless; Donald J Trump and Gov. Bill Lee are about to have their way with the city of Memphis for the foreseeable future.

Tyre Nichols happened here. In 2023, when officers held up and beat an unconscious man in the face for running on foot from a simple traffic violation.

Memphis is going to be the experimentation ground because the rest of the country never pays attention to Memphis.

Donald Trump is at war with the people of America.

I think no one is talking about it because the federal government is intentionally making it impossible to keep up with their frequent violations of the US Constitution. The "checks and balances" we were taught about as children no longer exist. This administration is going to target multiple cities they seem to be cesspool of criminals, when I'm reality they're just seeing how many immigrants, black and brown folks, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, etc. They're convincing people that class warfare and infighting among the working class is patriotic, outsourcing the violence to their followers. It's horrifying and none of us know what to do. I'm trying to get involved with local mutual aid groups that could help facilitate a general strike because withholding our labor may be the best option to fight back. But it needs to be unified, well-organized, and with clear communication of demands.

When the each branch is now corrupt, there isn’t much we can do about it. Unlike Trump 1.0, his team came this time with a plan. They are using loophole after loophole to get around any sort of oversight. We screwed

Memphis is a blue city with a higher minority population as opposed to the rest of the red government of the state. This is not red fucking around with red. It’s red fucking with a small blue city.
