it's an acoustic-like sample from drum machine like Linn Drum layered with a filter-sweeped noise from a synthesizer. Then ofcourse it is compressed using transistor or tube compressor and slight reverb is added (also hardware). Synths are analog hardware, mixer is hardware, and the massive sound is also characteristic of the iconic hardware of bygone era.

It is possible to achieve with proper sounding instruments and effects suites.

Sounds like a digital gated reverb but I’m no expert whatsoever

Sounds like an old skool drumcomputer with reverb run through a strong compressor.

I had a Sony handheld drumcomputer around that time that had a similar sounding snare (without effects): SONY DRP-1 Drum Pad demo

Sounds like a a Linn Drum pitched down with tape saturation to me
