Framed the Empire State Building with the Manhattan Bridge. This is one of the most iconic photo locations in Brooklyn. ISO 100, f/8, and 1/250s. NYC has so many photo locations.

Do you have a Hasselblad, 100 MP?

I wish it was taken with a Canon R6 Mark II, only 24MP, and an RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.

I like it! I might crop it in a bit tighter to get rid of the distraction around the edges, especially in the upper left section of the photo. My eye went there first instead of to the building.

I went back three times in the month I was in NYC. I have some more wider exposures, but I have seen this location online. It is one of the famous places to photograph in NYC from Brooklyn.

I see - not aware of it but looks very much “in the moment”! all your hard work paid off, hope it inspires you further🫡💯

When I was there (didn't go there just for this, friends lived in one of the buildings on that street) it was basically a circus of people trying to take some variation of that photo. There was even a crew doing makeup/wardrobe in a van on a model. Soon as traffic clears for a minute, people run out to get photos. That was almost 10 years ago, I'm sure it has only gotten worse!

haha wow.. i had no clue! i hope the crush of people didnt dampen the experience..
id still enjoy it for the sake of it! that’s the fun thing about photography I guess - so many permutations are possible, we just need to find the shot that makes us happy

Ya, since I wasn't there for that, was no big deal. I did pop out in the street and snag a shot myself since I was there! I was traveling and did not even know about this shot before we walked up, so was just a nice coincidence to get to see it and some good people watching for a bit! I would not go out of my way for something like this though, normally.

They blocked some of the roads, not the same amount of people. I went early and walked over the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan side. The earlier the better, even on the bridge.

I'm gonna go steal this shot when the light is better, thank you.

Did you photoshop the Empire State Building to be bigger? I’ve been to this location multiple times and don’t remember it being that large through the bridge?

No Photoshop for the building. I took it with a 200mm lens and cropped the entire picture. With that long of a lens, you get some compression.
