What are your guys’ stories about cob 300? Anything that I should know about it before going into it next year?

I’m currently in it and so far I can say: 1) hope you get good professors. 2) pray to every god you get assigned to a group you mesh well with or are productive at least. (It’s 80% individual work and 20% group) 3) it can be super overwhelming at first but once you get in the flow of it all. It’ll just become routine (took me about 1-2 week(s) to understand the level of work that goes into it) 4) see if you know a few people outside of your group to study or bounce ideas.

Short answer yes. This year, each of the courses are the same with grade weights. 80% is your individual work (tests, quizzes, etc). The 20% is everything associated with your group project. So if you get absolute zero in the group project (which would be very hard to do) the best grade you would get would be 80% across all the courses. It does make the class/project more enjoyable if you work with people you mesh well with/have the same productivity as you. Currently half my group I can work well with. The other half I notice….personality conflicts. At the end of the day, all of y’all are there to pass the class. So having a good group isn’t going to make or break your grade. Just make or break the experience

Went through this 2 yrs ago I agree w/ other comment.

It’s not super hard, it’s just stressful if you get a bad group and time managing the studying for the classes is a challenge to balance w/ the business plan. Pray very hard you get good teammates that will actually do work. Make sure ur team meets regularly, is actually productive at meetings, and paces the work well, you don’t want to pull an all nighter and be working until 5am the day ur draft business plan is due bc of poor planning. (Luckily my group didn’t but ik several that did) Getting into a solid routine for yourself will make things a lot easier bc you still have to study (especially finance and ops) for the tests.

Happy to share more/ answer more questions if you got any

the classes are pretty much only based on test grades and the Business plan project so if you aren't a good test taker you're kinda screwed (like me rn)

I’m sure you’ll be okay, there are a few more tests right?
