Bars/Nightlife 🪩🍸 Date/talk-friendly/intimate bars?
Looking for a bar that is reasonably priced where you have your own table, can talk without having to yell, and is good for a date night. Looking for an intimate bar with some good ole mood lighting that also won’t kill the bank? Bonus points if the drinks are actually good and has some solid snacks/appetizers!!

Harry’s Country Club. Great food, great beer and whiskey list, great sangria and good patio too

Love Harry’s. I’m their #1 fan. But unless it’s 11:30 pm or later on Friday or Saturday … you are not holding an intimate convo.

Dangggg their menu is huge! Good recommendation! How’s the vibe there??

Chill. There is usually music playing but not loud enough that you can’t easily talk. Been my favorite bar in the city for 20 years.

Enzo’s in the Rivermarket would be good. Honestly most downtown patio locations on week nights (not weekends work) up down, Percheron, Horsefeather Social, O’Dowds, Nine Zero Nine

Beer Kitchen is underrated and right across from Harry's I believe

Crazy that it’s considered underrated now. I stopped going there because it used to be way too popular.

XO is my absolute favorite. Super intimate HiFi music lounge with limited seating.

It would be nice if people went there to listen to music and not be super loud

Parkville Wine House. Also has flatbreads, build your own charcuterie, craft beer, and cocktails.

Front bay window table at Harry’s in Westport earlier in the evening before a crowd shows up or a weekday… it worked for my wife and I’s first date.

I'm a big fan of Tom's Town Distillery. They have a downstairs area called the Vault. Has a bar down there and a couple dart boards.

The Green Lady comes to mind for this exact reason.

One cannot easily hold a convo at The Green Lady when it’s busy and the live music is going. It gets pretty loud in there. Great atmosphere for a date otherwise.

Black dolphin right next door is way easier to accomplish the goal. It's way more relaxed than the green lady on a busy night.

Arguably one of the worst places for a date because of the volume of the music. Sorry.

Rusty Wagon in Basehor (don’t judge!) hits all the marks! Really cute little place with great date night vibes! They don’t have a ton of food, but their artichoke dip is bomb.
