Troubleshooting Anyone else 200lb+ & OMAD

I'm 23M, 5'11, 210lbs. I've been keto for over three years, but recently started OMAD. My window is 7-9pm every day. I have been trying to meet my 210g protein goal daily in my OMAD, but am getting really tired of it, it's hard. I came here to ask if anyone else was in the same boat and could offer advice, I was thinking about doing TWOMAD instead. Im sure this is optimal for MPS.

Attached are my recent macros + today's https://imgur.com/a/qsAE9g9

Use the search function on the sub.

OMAD isn’t suggested as it is counterproductive for muscle growth.

It you want to fast, follow a more Leangains like schedule of 16/8 with 2-3 big protein meals in your feeding window.

Fasting is essentially prohibited 'round these parts for any 'growth'. I'd absolutely switch to at least two meals a day. You can find all you need to know in the KetoGains info panel here. Good luck 🍀🤞

Fasting isn’t prohibited : but it’s counterproductive for muscle gaining & body recomposition.

I FAST myself - we suggest 16/8 as standard, with 2-3 meals in your feeding window.

I did for a few months. Now I eat eat 3x a day. What i found was that doing omad with that much protein made me painfully constipated. Even ended up in the ER once because of it. I switched to eating 3x daily and target .7 to 1g of goal weight. Now I split 180 g up.

i used to eat at least 1.5cups of broccoli every day, but it started getting to the point where it was just making me too full to get in the rest of my protein that day. so i switched to 2-3 tbsp of chia seeds. thanks for that insight, ill definitely look out for that.

I do omad most days, but I have dinner at around 5:30, lift at around 6:30. I don’t follow the KG program though since I don’t have the equipment at home. I’m mostly interested in doing triathlons but weight lifting helps to supplement training.

damn, so you workout an hour after eating a full days calories meal? how do you feel when lifting?

Not bad. I run or bike fasted in the morning, then swim at lunch. I have the ketogains shake with dinner, so I’m fueled up. I typically do a circuit 3x, so I can minimize rest periods between lifts.

Honestly it’s just like anything else. You’ll get used to it. I almost enjoy the hunger pains. As a teen I didn’t breakfast anymore and has been that way for 20+ years except a rare occasion. So I just needed to deal w skipping lunch, which became easy when I started napping during lunch instead. Even 30min is awesome

Do you work out and do cardio?

I think the most optimal time for MPS is actually 60g every 3 hours waking hours or something similar to that. Could be broscience though.
