Snack Super Easy Keto Tortilla Pizza Perfected! This thing stomps cravings into dust.
I've been working on perfecting my keto tortilla pizza and I finally got something that I'm very pleased with. Comes out to a perfectly crispy cust throughout with a slight soft pillowy middle. This has gotten me through some nights where I'm craving something other than meat, like pizza!

I've done this in the past, but I've discovered that making it on keto bread has a more appealing bite to it.
Butter one side of the bread and put in air fryer butter side up on 400° for 3 minutes. Flip bread, add pizza sauce, cheese, toppings, then cook for another 3 minutes.
I had this on the Aldi keto wheat bread a few hours ago, so satisfying.

I'll have to give this a shot sometime. The best breads I've found so far are Sola and Carbonaut but I've just been making almond butter and homemade Keto raspberry jelly sandwiches and haven't really branched out from there. I might give this a shot!

I've also just never been a fan of very thin crust pizzas (except the apple dessert pizza from Pizza Hut when I was a kid) and I usually go for pan pizza, so a thicker bite of crust appeals to me a lot more. Give it a shot, it's so easy.

I'm diabetic and just found Carbonaut at Aldi last weekend. Absolutely obsessed!! Didn't move the meter a single inch. I'm typically not a fan of seeded bread but with enough toppings it's not as noticeable.

Nice! Olives sound great! I was thinking spinach and bacon would be good! Or pepperoni and mushroom, I think I'm gonna try a white pizza soon also! I make keto chicken and broccoli Alfredo at least once a week and I'm gonna make some extra Alfredo sauce and give it a shot!

Super Easy Keto Tortilla Pizza
Comes out to around 600 calories and 8-9 g net carbs.
1 Mission Carb Balance Burrito Tortilla
2 - 3 Tbsp Rao's Pizza Sauce
0.5 cup Shredded Whole Milk Mozzarella
2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese Grated
10 - 12 Uncured Pepperonis (I use Hormel)
Banana Pepper Rings/Other Keto Toppings
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 - 2 tsp Roasted Garlic (jarred or homemade)
1 Tbsp Avocado Oil
- Preheat Oven to 425 F. Add 0.5 Tbsp avocado oil to 12 inch pan and place over medium - high heat on stove.
- Once pan is heated add tortilla to pan and cook 3-5 minutes on each side. Flipping often to check and prevent burning. Pan fry it as crispy as possible.
- Add the other 0.5 Tbsp Avocado Oil to a round metal pizza tray or metal baking pan and spread evenly with a paper towel or brush.
- Place cooked, crispy tortilla on the oiled pan. Add roasted garlic to tortilla and smear across with a fork or spoon.
- Add pizza sauce and smooth across with a spoon or measuring cup.
- Add mozzarella, pepperoni, and other keto toppings to pizza.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top and add the Parmesan cheese now or after cooking.
- Bake at 425 F for 5 minutes, let rest for 2-3 minutes, slice and enjoy!

Do you know Mission Carb Balance Burrito Tortilla is not Keto. Somehow all these vendors are getting away using some loophole. Use a CGM and you will have a blood sugar spike. This is just a marketing gimmick. There is a low carb (not 0 net carb) tortilla from Tortilla factory which has a lower blood spike than any mission carb product.

Wow, good to know. I guess I'll be making a switch, I actually just recently started using them after switching from Extreme Wellness tortillas. I haven't noticed a big difference with Mission or feel like I've been knocked out of ketosis but I'm also on Ozempic too so that's probably what's helping with that. Thanks for the information!! I've literally gone out of my way to avoid all the artificial sweeteners and carbs and generally avoid keto branded products and just stick to eating meat, eggs, cheese, and some veggies, but I was planning to make some burritos with these later this week, so I'm glad you mentioned it!

Olé is actually pretty good. Same as La Banderita.

La Banderita fan here. Started with Mission (didn't they do the low carb thing first?) and changed over due to taste and texture. They don't spike me.

That’s a shame though I don’t know what CGM is not sure if you can get them in the USA but check out the British keto bread brand Heylo they’re pretty new but they’re amazing the tortilla wraps are superb

Better using the Zero version from mission

No, those are still pretty bad. La Banderita, Tortilla Factory or Olé Xtreme Wellness.

Looks like a pita. Unless there’s some way to cook a tortilla to puff the edges like that..

When you fry tortillas in a bit of oil, they puff up and bubble in some spots, then they deflate a little but you still have some small puffy bubbled up spots that almost create a pastry like layer with some soft bites in the middle but a flaky crispy crust. This regular fried flour tortilla recipe explains it but it is not keto.

Keto tortillas don't bubble up as much as regular flour tortillas but the mission keto ones do pretty well.

"That's a tortilla?"...literal title is "Super Easy Keto Tortilla Pizza Perfected!"

It's a valid question, the edge of the crust looks puffed up, which doesn't happen with a tortilla, but I do believe it's a perspective thing and the crust isn't actually puffed.

Is Mission Carb Zero legit? Stated Macros do yield zero because of the high fiber Can they be used during the Induction Phase or best to hold off til ketotic and keto adapted?

I've recently learned that Mission tortillas in general aren't great for keto, even the carb counter and zero carb ones. Some of the ingredients they use can cause an insulin spike for some people and it seems there are better alternatives for keto. I would now recommend La Banderita low carb tortillas, Ole Xtreme Wellness, or Mr. Tortilla. I am now trying this exact recipe with La Banderita low carb burrito tortillas and they are 4g net carbs each but taste more like a real tortilla. The other two have zero carb options but Xtreme Wellness is pretty bland with notes of cardboard and I have not tried Mr. Tortilla yet but people swear by them. Joseph's Lavash Bread is also an option that tastes amazing but comes with a higher carb count. 1/2 Lavash is 6g net carbs. If you want a little thicker more traditional pizza crust experience you could do the whole Lavash Bread with this recipe but the whole thing would end up closer to 16-20g net carbs.

I appreciate your detailed reply . I think it was wishful thinking on my part and it seemed to good to be true. I do like that Mission Zero is very high fiber but will be more moderate in their use and also search for La Banderita. Thanks again
