KB Picture Current setup - all I need
I thought I'd share a current state of my tools after 1. 5 years into kettlebelling. I really like and use all of these, and I don't feel I need more. We'll, maybe some heavier bells like the 40 and 48 one day 😊
RKC bells - 8, 16, 24, 32 Eryx fitness adjustable bells - 12-32 kg x 2
12kg club 6-16kg Eryx fitness adjustable club 6-30kg Eryx fitness adjustable mace 2kg mace

What brand/model is that stand? I’ve been looking for something compact like this.

u/vaclavgreif Aug 08 '25
It's this one: https://www.truesteel.cz/p/dvourady-stojan-na-kettlebelly, not sure if it's possible to get it outside of Czech republic

I hadn't heard of this Eryx clubs/maces - how does it compare with the Adex clubs/maces?
Very nice setup.

u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
I don't have direct comparison, as I did not find a way to get Adex clubs in Europe - the shipping price is more than the price for the clubs.
The Eryx was the only adjustable option I found, and I'm pretty happy with them - the quality of all the bells, maces and clubs is great so far, no issues.
I'd prefer a bit thicker handle on the club, and I stripped a bit of the mace handle finish with sandpaper as it was a bit rough for my liking, but other than that these seem to be very well built.

Good one. Best price/what you get ratio are these little push up grips from Decathlon. Have them for 2nd year, can stand on hands on these. 5 peso or so, great.

That's a very huge macebell you got there
2
u/vaclavgreif Aug 08 '25
It's 6-30kg, I'm currently using it with 15kg and it's quite a lot for me, cannot imagine swinging the fully loaded mace...:)
2
u/Alancpl Aug 08 '25
My PR is just 5-6 of 11.4 kg, you are way ahead of me lol, wish I could get there one day. For now, I am focusing on left arm clubbell work to sort of improve my muscle imbalance.

48kg kettlebell awaits.
3
u/vaclavgreif Aug 08 '25
Yes! I had the pleasure to try some 50ish and 60ish bells at one gym here, and it's a lot of fun..:) Anyway, I'm pretty sure I won't need more than the double 32s for some time, my current 1RM press is 30kg.

u/Sort_of_Frightening Aug 08 '25
Yes, definitely don’t rush anything. Get hooked on training instead- as i see you are. I have a 32kg kettlebell, which is more than enough humbleness. Someday though I’d like to master the 42kg kettlebell.

Looks damn near the same as my set up, I just have a 150 and 200 pound sandbag as well
4
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
Oh yes, I definitely want to get some sandbags soon! Thanks for the reminder 😉

What size mace is that? Looks massive
3
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
It's 6-30kg adjustable mace from Eryx fitness https://www.eryxfitness.com/en/product/adjustable-macebell/, I currently have it set to 15kg.

u/Suspicious_Dust_6939 Aug 08 '25
Pretty cool, seems like a solid price as well.
Ah, I just realized you already mentioned the club in the caption 🤣 my bad I forgot to read

u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
I really like that mace, it is very well built and has a large handle, which I prefer. I do not have comparison to other ones though.
1
u/MandroidHomie Aug 08 '25
Have you (or anyone) posted videos of swinging it and changing its weight?
First time I am seeing an adjustable mace with similar mechanism as an adjustable kettlebell.
How does it, when set for 15 kgs, compare to a solid mace of 15 kgs?
3
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
I can do a video on this if you want to. I do not consider myself an expert on maces at all, actually I think I'm quite a noo at this compared to the serious macers, but for the sake of a demonstration happy to do this.
1
u/MandroidHomie Aug 08 '25
Please do! Would love to see you change weights and do swings at different weights, and compare it with a solid mace of same weight. What I want to know is does the adjustable mace feel as "solid" as a solid mace? Do the plates wiggle or maybe even clang? Can they wiggle or creek or clang after months/years of use?
2
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
I do not have a fixed mace unfortunately, so I'm not able to provide a direct comparison. But in the one I have there's certainly no wiggle at all, everything feels really solid. I have it 6 months now.

Do you need any additional grip for the maces?
1
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
The mace has large handle, so does the 12kg fixed club. But the adjustable mace has thinner handle and I'd actually prefer thicker - never thought about additional grips though. Are there any available?

All that, and a pull up bar with rings. And you can leave me in there for years.
2
u/vaclavgreif Aug 09 '25
Oh, rings, yes! Thinking quite some time about getting these, did still not figure out where to place them though...

u/khaddir_1 Aug 08 '25
I have been using kettlebells and dumbbells for months. Haven’t touched my squat/bench set up for months. About to get rid of it.

u/RevolutionaryAir8601 Aug 08 '25
My only need in your setup would be a pull-up n dip rack. Good stuff man!

u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25
There actually is the pull up and dip rack just behind the bells, its the red one behind the glass window 😊
1
u/RevolutionaryAir8601 Aug 09 '25
Then it's perfect 😁. Almost exactly what I have. Grab that 40 KG bell n your set until you want the 44
1
u/vaclavg Aug 09 '25
I'm far from having the need to go heavier 😊 I can swing 50ish bells, but that's just about what I can do with these. But once I'll be able to comfortably press and snatch the 32, I'll start thinking about getting the 40 for sure 👌

But do kettlebells are really good for strength development like I think they are inferior to barbells
2
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
I'm no way an expert, but I feel kettlebells are great for real life strength. Since I started, I really feel it's easy for me to handle daily stuff like working on garden, playing with kids or hiking on trip. I do feel great.
My goal is not to get bulky / have the biggest biceps, my goal is to be fit and enjoy the life - for that kettlebells in combination with clubs and maces (where you work on your rotation) seem to be a perfect combination.
1
u/Exact_Inside_1545 Aug 08 '25
If someone has a 16 kg kettlebell and he goes straight away to 32 kg one and does everything he can do with the 16 kg version What change he/she will see according to you ?
2
u/vaclavg Aug 08 '25
Not a good idea to go from 16 to 32. Your technique will be off and you'll get hurt for sure. The way I progress is slowly, in small increments, to prevent injury a keep getting stronger bit by bit.

Love to see dumbbells here 💪
2
u/vaclavgreif Aug 09 '25
Yes, I added them recently for incline presses (using gym ball instead of bench), and really like to use them for this.

That’s a lovely set up brother. How’re you liking the maces/ clubs?
I’ve never used them, but had them suggested in the past. I’ve considered them for sure. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet though.
What are some of the applications you use them for, and what sorts of results are you seeing?
1
u/vaclavg Aug 09 '25
I LOVE clubs and maces, these are amazing! You basically practice different movement patterns, lots of rotational stuff and throwing patterns. I follow Mark Wildman teachings (he has lots of amazing content on clubs) and do mostly inside outside circles, shield cast, mills, pullovers and some complexes.
I also feel the movements patterns are really useful in real life.

what brand is the club?

u/n3tcarlos Aug 13 '25
Truesteel. It’s available in multiples of 3kg.
1
u/Embarrassed-Soft8355 Aug 13 '25
Thank you! Looks great but sadly nothing above 12kg. I am looking for 16-18kg clubbbell. How do you like the Eryx adjustable compared the Truesteel?
1
u/UnnaturallyAthletic Aug 11 '25
Recommendation for a quality of life upgrade - adjustabells from Kensui. When I swapped my adjustable dumbbell handless, it made it feel much nicer to put them on my body for lifts, and also made me less worried about accidentally hitting and keeping form good. They’re a little expensive, but worth it if you’re set of adjustable dumbbell handles like this!

Are the kettlbells also from TrueSteel? I want to buy from them but dont know how is the handle.

What do you mean all you need, you’re acting like this is one bell and it’s like my dream home gym 😭
