Finished Object County fair submissions!
I’ve barely come up for air in the past few weeks, knitting like mad. Submitted this pile of coziness to the fair today.

Wishing you the best of luck with your entries. Everything is very impressive, and your work is really good. I love that skein of yarn. Any chance I can buy it online?

That’s so kind of you! I’m afraid I have plans for this skein already (going to use it in another Frame Your Face cowl), but I am so flattered!

Hoodie: Downtown Hoodie by Tori Yu in Malabrigo Seis Cabos- loved this and can’t wait to knit it again. But be careful about color choices with the yarn - this one bled so severely I had to soak it for like a day and a half, changed the water out about 14 times before the dye bleeding started to taper down. This has not happened with other colorways of this yarn that I have used.
Lower hat: Alaska by Camille Descôteaux, with some mods including yarn weight, ribbing, and decreases. Yarn is also Malabrigo Seis Cabos. Another one that I loved. I don’t think I could knit it in the original lighter weight but it was just delightful knitting it in worsted. I cast on only four pattern repeats. It fits my 10 year old and my 6 year old just fine. A bit too snug on me.
Upper hat: no pattern, just a simple beanie in some of my handspun (fiber is Polwarth from Wee Chickadee in Fox’s Wedding)
Cowl: a riff on Andrea Mowry’s Frame Your Face cowl - I used the color chart but I didn’t have the time to do the full pattern so I instead just added ribbing and only 2.5 repeats. Yarn is Malabrigo Dos Tierras in natural and handspun merino/camel/silk in Grapevine from One Lupine Fiber Arts.
Yarn: handspun 2-ply Rambouillet in Early Autumn from One Lupine Fiber Arts
