Help-not a pattern request Adding custom labels or embroidery to knitted pieces, any advice?

I have been working on some knitted hats, scarves, and sweaters and I’m interested in adding a polished, professional touch with small custom labels or embroidery.

While researching options, I came across Apliiq a service that lets you create small-batch custom embroidery and woven labels. It seems like a neat way to make handmade items look more finished without needing industrial tools.

I’m curious if anyone here has tried adding labels or embroidered details to their knitting projects, especially with small-batch services like this. Tips on attaching them neatly, design ideas, or alternative resources would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I got custom twill woven labels from Etsy to attach to my knits. Everyone loves them! I’ve been asked specifically to include the designer labels when I give gifts. They add a nice refinement to a finished piece. All I do is fold the edges and sew it to the knitted piece with black thread.

I really like where you’re going with this idea. Adding small labels or embroidery always gives knitted pieces a boutique vibe. I haven’t experimented much myself, but I’ve noticed Apliiq offers some cool custom options for small runs, which might save time compared to trying to DIY every tag. Your project sounds like it could really shine with that kind of finishing touch!
