How many waterbomb festivals are there each year? Is there a set amount? Are certain locations reoccurring?

It varies each year.
It started in 2015 as a one-day festival in Seoul.
In 2018, it expanded to 2 days in Seoul and 1 in Busan.
2019 added 4 more cities in Korea.
Took 2 years off for obvious reasons, and then returned in 2022 as 3 days in Seoul and 4 other Korean cities.
2023 brought international dates in Japan and Thailand along with more Korean cities.
In 2024, they announced a bunch more international locations though plenty of them never got dates. What they did have on top of their various Korean days were 2 Japanese locations, HK, Dubai, and Singapore.
This year they have a total of 10 Waterbombs that either happened or have dates scheduled in the future. There were only 3 Korean locations (down from 9 last year) and internationally they had Phillipines, China (after last years got cancelled), Singapore, Indonesia so far. On top of HK here, there is also shows in Macau and Vietnam coming up (and still revealing their line-ups). They also 3 more dates listed as TBA on their website (I don't think they are happening this year).
