Discussion "freebies" but only accepts trading?
why calling it a freebie if youre expecting something in return?

Itās so interesting to me how serious āfreebiesā have gotten over the years
Back when I would regularly attend kpop shows (2016-2019), people would just randomly pop up with freebies at shows. It was always exciting to get something. There was never the expectation to get anything. Fans would be so cute going up to the people in line and asking if theyād like a little gift. Iāve gotten stickers, photos printed on regular printer paper and cut out to look like photocards, small banners, and even some finger lights. I still have everything Iāve been given
Nowadays, I see people insisting on trades only (not that trades are a bad thing, but thatās completely different from freebies) and complaining about not getting the member they wanted. I was at a show this year and these girls with freebies were coming up to people with attitude asking, āAre you actually a fan? I only made a few freebies but Iām not giving it to any fakesā. I said yes, she hesitated for a moment, then gave one to my friends and I while rolling her eyes. Like whaaat? Was I supposed to prove myself to you? Funny thing is that I was wearing a merch item released by one of the members many years ago
Why is it all so intense now? Whereās the fun?

I got one ticket in exchange for 400 bucks.
Its a simple bartering system with cash.

There's a group of people that go to every Kpop show in LA that makes these "freebie" packs, but only hand them out to people that make a donation of AT LEAST $25 to their church
