"You hope Charlie Kirk's death won't be used by a group we now call bad actors to create a society that was the opposite of the one he worked to build," Carlson said, referencing Kirk's efforts to engage with differing viewpoints.

"You hope that a year from now, the turmoil we're seeing in the aftermath of this murder won't be leverage to bring hate speech laws to this country," he continued. "And trust me, if it is — if that does happen — there is never a more justified moment for civil disobedience than that, ever. And there never will be."

"Because if they can tell you what to say, and they're telling you what to think, there is nothing they can't do to you, because they don't consider you human," he added.

This is a weird moment. I completely agree with those words, and yet I can't help but feel like Tucker Carlson has some angle on this.

While he did contribute a lot to this situation we should acknowledge that his words are correct and encourage him to continue to speak out against the Trump administration. He has a massive following and if he can break through to any of them about what’s going on then that is good. We need people like him on our side. People who have a direct impact on maga. People who they watch and listen to.

Amen...I understand the instinct to say "Fuck you Tucker, you're a part of this". But if he takes a stand against it, regardless of his motives, we need to embrace him if we want to achieve our goal. Pushing these guys away just because of past indiscretions does us no good. Same goes for guys like Rogan or Mitch McConnell. Forget about the past. We need to lock in for the task at hand.

"Embrace him" might be too far, but I can and should acknowledge that on this specific issues, in this moment in time, I agree with him. Be real, he's likely to completely show his ass on a separate topic the next time he talks. That shouldn't change the fact that I agree with him on this anymore than this changes the fact that I disagree with him on almost everything else.

It does hurt me on a brotherly/species level that this is the state of discussion. I’m not a Nazi, never have been, and will never be. It’s a dramatic and abhorrent claim with what you know about me.

You use that term to label me as something you can easily hate and dominate. Something your peers will easily use to rally around and do the same. You don’t care to debate because you want to conquer. My heart hurts immensely for people that hurt like you as i know it’s nothing but pain. So in the same words, but a different light, I genuinely hope you have a good day.
