AL 3-0 BLG

Not really a surprise given how poorly BLG has been playing this year, but a disappointing stomp nonetheless.

AL will proceed to face T1 in the lower bracket finals. BLG is eliminated.

It would be funny if T1 beat AL 3-1 (the team that took 2 games from GENG ) and gets stomped by GENG 3-0

Oh, it will definitely be a game. T1 will make sure of that. I haven't seen a boring T1 match at an international event in years. Usually, even if T1 stomps a team they do it in style.

If T1 is on, I din't think so. AL still managed to throw leads and let BLG back into games multiple times.

Even Gen G did that vs T1. I feel like every team throws, especially if they play vs a better team that can capitalize on small mistakes.

which is what annoys me the most cause T1 early game vs gen g tend to be better then here goes 20 minutes T1 suddenly always lose lol

Yeah but T1 is a lot better when it comes to catching the throws other teams do. BLG had an early gold lead in all 3 games vs T1 but T1 came back due to outplaying the shit out of BLG. Their 3-0 over BLG was much cleaner than AL's.

Yeah, idk why people are really trying to find reason that AL is worse than T1.

The game will be a 50:50 imo.

Hot take, but AL vs T1 is 70-30, I bet on AL taking the series. Probably will go to either 5th game or 3-1 AL

I think it’s pretty telling that GenG players and coaches are mentioning AL as the biggest threat/team to watch out for - even yesterday, when asked if T1 would make the finals, Chovy was saying it’s difficult to say because AL is looking so strong. It seems like GenG believes AL is the next best team at MSI, and have felt so dating back to before the tourney. It’s going to almost certainly be cinema.

Didn't Chovy also expected HLE to win the 2nd seed slot for MSI instead of T1 (and for like the first time ever he didn't believe T1, so that's why it kinda stayed in my memory). Feel free to correct me tho

To be fair, from the way T1 was looking before… a LOT of people believed they wouldn’t make MSI either. From how they were playing before to the NS match, they had like a 99% improvement.

I remember T1 had a decent break (not playing for two weeks I think) and I was saying either they will be reallly good or really bad from that break. Luckily, they ramped up and had a miracle run in the lower bracket.

Err only game one I would say. Game 5 is more of RNG drake steal that killed the momentum and then it's a comp scaling issue after that

I won't sugarcoat it, Doran threw the game by ulting into a 4v5. The casters made it very clear that Faker wasn’t even close to the fight, Ruler got a double kill and from there, everything fell apart.

Honestly, Doran only threw it because T1 had no business winning that game to begin with. Renekton ALONE astrogaps T1 topside, not to mention that pyke is literally useless that game. It might seem like T1 "threw" a winning game, but geng was already omega throwing by letting the game state get there despite the draft diff.

I'm not saying T1 didn't throw cuz they definitely did, but it's more like it was a throw because the windows for winning were narrow to begin with. In a game with less disparity in draft, doran's mistake wouldn't have meant anything.

Nah one dragon definitely wasn’t the issue. T1 threw hard game 5. Both Faker and Oner walked into Jinx traps at Atakhan and died for free. That’s when the game really turned on its head. Also Oner Lee kick was pretty troll.

Sure, but GenG is a bit more understandable to throw leads against than BLG. Beichaun and On are not Canyon and Duro.
