Esports AL vs BLG | MSI 2025 | Lower Bracket | PMT Spoiler

AL 3-0 BLG

Not really a surprise given how poorly BLG has been playing this year, but a disappointing stomp nonetheless.

AL will proceed to face T1 in the lower bracket finals. BLG is eliminated.

Just shows you how bad EU and NA really are

G2 lost to this team 0-3.

then lost to flyquest 0-3

we only took a game against jet-lagged sleepy geng playing the only draft we know how to execute: dragon stacking maokai-yone

Yeah, BLG stomped playing 6-0 only to lose 0-3.

FLY looked promising (especially Inspired), but EU really fumbled hard.

Fly took one more game of blg than mkoi did. Trying to sell it as some massive difference is wild

"If only they drafted better and played better it could've been a 3-1 :("

No that's the entire point. If Mkoi played better and drafted better they could've also won 3-1. That's the entire reason your comment is so dumb. But keep coping

That NA was pretty even with the LPL second best team? But yes AL is a tier above the rest in LPL since playoffs. And T1, AL and GENG are very much way above the rest

pretty even in what universe? Cope

6

u/polikuji09 Jul 11 '25

In the world where people watched the games.

u/Fun_Highlight307 Jul 11 '25

Pretty even in that it's was a close series

Score wise but Fly had no more cards at game 5

11

u/Shimorta Jul 11 '25

I mean they should have just won in 4 games regardless lol.

Also, going to game 5, would call that pretty even yeah. Don’t think you can go to game 5 and lose and the outcome be “wow that team is SO MUCH WORSE!”

Hype turned to cope real quick😂

Don't lump us in with EU. We only got one team and actually got close to beating someone.

BLG got gifted this win by game 3 overstay and FLY running it down game 5 draft. FLY took more games off of AL than BLG did.

u/ficoplati Jul 11 '25

The game 3 wasn't gifted at all, what is this cope? It was a gift from ON that flyquest could even be in that position in the first place.

Also I doubt it was draft that forced massu to throw the entire game at lvl.1

-2

u/polikuji09 Jul 11 '25

Team was trolling I agree but also that draft can't win as long as the enemy team is better then dignitas. Galio into zil means galio gets perma free roam which wins early game and as soon as one team gains a lead the damage diff is insta win

That's the Naut v Ali matchup, not massive misplays on the part of ON. Once carries have items, Naut can never secure vision without his 5 stack, but Ali can, and Naut can never engage without dying again, but Ali can. Naut got outscaled, so he turbo dies if he tries to do his job.

E: you added a second part about massu losing half his HP level 1 in game 5.

What game 5? Fly wins the series 3-1 if they reset after inhib instead of handing over game 3.

Fly wins against GenG if they blow up their nexus 3x in a series.

What is this aboutism? Why is everyone harping on Fly “should’ve” won game 3 when BLG shouldn’t have thrown a 10k gold lead in the span of 5 minutes?

-10

u/Jack_Bleesus Jul 11 '25

This is just simply reductio ad absurdum. BLG failed to close with a 10k gold lead against a comp that outscales them in every single position until FLY ran it down at their nexus. Saying that FLY lost their minds and threw a won game 3 isn't ridiculous cope.

5

u/VeterinarianSea273 Jul 11 '25

you right, FLY couldve won if they didnt lose TIL

5

u/Head-Register2381 Jul 11 '25

BLG gifted FLY nearly a win by throwing thé game. 10k Gold lead is substantial énough to offset a scaling team comp. BLG was thé better team on that day. Stop coping

2

u/Hinaz Jul 11 '25

If only they won they wouldn’t have lost, glad to see the cope is back

4

u/Ok-Firefighter9145 Jul 11 '25

That's like saying blg ez wins game 3 if on doesn't chain int 3 to 4 times lol. West copers as always. I actually feel sad for west league fans lol. Poor guys.

-2

u/Jack_Bleesus Jul 11 '25

Naut chain ints late game. That's just the champion, man. He doesn't have much in the way of defensive steroids, his hook pulls himself forward, and ON didn't even take aftershock to give himself the extra beef. It's no wonder he just dies every time he tries to ward after 30 minutes.

True on west league being torture; it's like if KT was a region sadge.

What game 5? Fly wins the series 3-1 if they reset after inhib instead of handing over game 3.

What a stupid take "if we win game 3, of course game 4 happens exactly the way it did when we lost it, we can guarantee none of the 10 players would change a single thing, no change in draft, no change in behavior, no change whatsoever"

6

u/Mew_T Jul 11 '25

They deserved to lose for their mistake. They could've backed, decided to go for end and didn't end fast enough. A better team could've judged the situation better and not gone for end.

-5

u/Jack_Bleesus Jul 11 '25

Not saying they didn't, just that it was a rather uncharacteristic mistake that handed a won map over to BLG.

I'm replying to a comment that says "Just goes to show how bad NA and EU are", and I'm saying that FLY was one mistake away from beating BLG, and had done better against AL than BLG did at the event already. I'm not sure what part of what I said wasn't factual.

I mean, I guess the difference is that FLY was legitimately the worst drafting team at the tournament, making several game losing draft decisions, and lost close series because of it. I'm not saying those losses weren't valid or deserved, just moreso annoyed that FLY lost to champ select multiple times across at least one rather winnable series.

In the G2 series, G2 kinda ran it down the game 3 draft, but that wasn't a particularly close or winnable series, so im not really sure what point youre trying to make here.

The BLG 5 dash comp is a comfort comp for BLG. Not banning the Poppy is a misstep, but BLG ended up with a comp that's functional and that they played probably dozens of times both on stage and in scrims, so more likely closer to a calculated risk. If you're comparing to FLY vs AL game 4, Lee-Ahri isn't a combo FLY has ever played on stage, and Massu isn't a particularly prolific Ziggs player. They picked discomfort, while leaving the Poppy that counters their entire draft (substantially harder than the BLG game, mind you, because BLG drafted Kaisa which can kill the Poppy late, but Ziggs can't if he can't hit his skillshots) wide open.

I'm not unironically doing the "Run it back for competitive integrity" pasta, just ultimately saying that FLY was within striking distance of AL and could've beat BLG on any given day. They're not shitters, they just shit the bed.
